fx and deck mode chanined to layoyts

Why can't I chain fx setting and deck setting to layout, so one layout has fx in single mode and deck c and d as decks, and another has fx in group mode and deck c and d as sample decks?

I'm not sure I understand your question as you can as you can have several layouts and switch eventually between them? It would still be possible to change the type of fx units from one to another but if that's not something you do, what's the problem?.

or do you mean so the fx units shall never change?

 

To be specific

I would like 4 layouts

layout1: 4 decks, 2 fx in single and 2 in group
layout2: 4 decks, 1 fx in single and 3 in group
layout3: 2 decks and 2 sample decks, 2 fx in single and 2 in group
layout1: 2 decks and 2 sample decks, 1 fx in single and 3 in group

But when i change the layouts the fx settings are not connected to the layout, but if I change the fx settings it changes for all layouts and not only the active (same goes for deck types)

Hi Jeppe,

Traktor does not store the FX mode setting inside the layouts.
All UI options that are stored in layouts have the little eye icon next to the section name on the Preferences dialog.

Do get this done you need to create a little mapping that activates the settings you want to have.

Well as I recall I put this post in "feature suggestion"

Rainer you say something about a mapping to change theese settings.
I haven't seen any mapping commands that can change deck types or fx units types.

Changing deck type = Layout | Deck Flavor
Changing FX unit mode = Global | FX Panel Mode

 

I quite often change layouts with FX engaged and decks running (to bring up sample decks to use only when wanted, for example), so to have layouts and fx and deck modes separate is quite important to me.
