Hello guys this can be a stupid question but i couldn't figure it out how... I apply effect to one of 16 outputs of Maschine on Studio One, no problem till here. What if i want to send the signal back to the Maschine to apply new fx from maschine? I mean Studio One fx + Maschine fx. I tried to set the input of Maschine sound channel to Studio One output but no way... It just shows the physical inputs. Any Suggestion? Thx

Thats not possible that way but you could insert maschine fx to one of the 16 channels or in the send and apply fx that way.

Does Studio One not allow routing audio back to the track it came from? Is that the limitation here?

any audio interface with 4 or more i/os will permit send/returns. just be careful not to initiate a feedback loop and not select the sound or group to input to the same port it sends. a loop back function will let you do that without external patching, but the same warning on the feedback loop prevails.

    Windows or Mac?
Correct me if I'm wrong here: All you want is to be able to use Maschine FX and Studio One FX on your Maschine outputs that go into Studio one right? Why would you send it back to Maschine then? Why not just have the fx on the Maschine sound, then it goes to a DAW track where additional FX from studio one can be used.

I don't think you can send audio back to Maschine when it is hosted... vst 2 does not permit that. I think what you would have to do is send the output to a new track you create and have another instance of Maschine FX loaded on that. then you can route from external sources or from the track you have the instance of Maschine, Maschine fx, to a group track. I am not a studio one user, I use cubase, but as a DAW, it is similar.... or you could create a group channel/track and load Maschine fx on it and use it as a send from other tracks and ext. sources.

Maschine, it is an instrument. when you load Maschine FX, it is an effect.

I use PC, because the order of fxs is important...
