hy, i just stumbled over something.
i had to decide wether i want to change FX within a unit with a knob or a fader.
both ways, the newly choosen FX, be it advanced or chained,
are set to"off", so i have to activate them again, first.
that takes some time, so i have to set up in advance, and can`t instantly get to create a desired "effect".
    now,
how about a "store"-button, where you could store the favorite FX-settings in advanced mode and have them back by pressing a button, or
you could store your favorite chained fx with it`s settings and have them back for instant usage.
this would be great, could be - let`s say 4 sets of storeable fx for each unit, where if you push a button you get from one to the next.
    what do you think?

You can already do this, but it is a hassle.

for each button, just assign 4 mappings:

    Global>FX Panel Mode (Direct, chained)
FX Chained>FX Select 1 (Direct, FX choice 1)
FX Chained>FX Select 2 (Direct, FX choice 2)
FX Chained>FX Select 3 (Direct, FX choice 3)

Now when you press your button, your favorite fx are recalled. You can do this for as many buttons as you have spare.

I am about to implement this exactly as suggested here. The question is what effects to gather in one preset. I am thinking about having max 16 of these FX presets

Any HOT tips for "choices" 1..3 including recommendation about their order as #1 #2 #3 in the chained effect preset?

    - i like the new delay on 1)
then a phaser of flanger (whatever) on 2
and then the iceverb on 3)
that way you can create nice delays and effect them further with the other ones.
when i have something that is not really in front, (let`s say i mix it in when 2 decks are already playin) -
i can use these kinds of fx without getting the feeling of
    "heavy usage of fx" -

    and:
tell me if it worked out for you, the preset-thing.
i didn`t make it to really go for it.

    well, ...
    almost 2 months ,
besides gridding and sorting tracks, i played a lot,
    using my described FX-settings.
now, i have some spare time and i want to have some presets for my units.
for the beginning (for symplicitity reasons) i use key-commands instead of midi.
have to set up modyfiers on my xone:1d later, if it works.

    first impression:
made 4 presets each, for the left unit (advanced) and the right (chained).
    it works, (almost).
    i set up this way:
fx select / fx on / dry/wet to "zero" -
    all for the same unit.
fx-select works, for getting the fx to "on",
i have to press the knob twice, (not always, most of the time)
the second press also sets the Dry/wet to zero.
on my advanced-fx, 2 of the 3 are "on", whereas one stays "off",
wich also changes when i press the key for the second time.

the controls on the knobs don`t change the descriptions,
when i have "reverb" (advanced) the 3 knobs are labelled for the reverb-settings, wich is ok, but when i change to another fx with other types of controls,
the labelling won`t update to the proper ones .
EDIT: just realised, after re-starting tp for the first time after storing the settings, this now works fine.
another thing i just found out is:
the third knob in the "advanced" fx-unit is always "on" on certain fx.

i have to play around and see how it works,
probably i`m gonna record a set tonight, to find out what my presets are worth,
besides the "double-pushing" of every key, it looks very promising.

this is all real groovy, and thanks for the map shortcut to load FX! but how do I save the parameters on the individual effects that i tweaked in advance controls and make sure they are the ones that show up in the chained presets?

similar to this request.. perhaps more FX snapshot slots would be a good addition, to recover combinations/settings working great :)
