I'm still hoping this is my problem, and not Kontakt Player or Garritan, but it looks like the version of Kontakt Player included with JABB provides only the most basic VST support. For me, unusably little VST support. I've tried both Live 5, and Cubase 3, with results that seem to indicate that this version of Kontakt Player does not allow VST hosts to control parameters, and that what you are supposed to do is map MIDI CCs, etc. Folks, that is what VSTs are supposed make unnecessary. I also have NI Express Keyboards, whose Kontakt player does provide out-of-the-box integration of its parameters with VST hosts.

In Live 5, after loading an instance of JABB into a track, none of the Live 5 VST controls are bound to anything in JABB, the 'unfold plugin parameters' button does not apper. In Cubase 3, no automation tracks are created corresponding to Kontakt Player controls.

With NI Express Keyboards (and all of my other VST plugins), the Live 5 'unfolded plugin parameter' panel is available and works as expected. In Cubase, named automation tracks corresponding to Kontakt player controls appear.

Somebody please tell me that they have JABB and it isn't misbehaving in a similar manner. Do some Kontakt Players support VST fully (e.g. VST host can control plugin parameters via the VST interface NOT MIDI CCs), and others not?

I've recently got JABB which I'm running in Logic 7 on a Mac G5 and everything, including midi controllers are working fine EXCEPT, and this is my problem - could be a Logic thing - when you set up a modulation wheel movement at the top of the track so that you can hear the instrument (a real pain in my book) hitting stop on the sequencer shuts the mod wheel down again so that you can't hear it again until you open the mod wheel or start the sequencer. This is so slowing and frustrating when you're trying to get a track out.
So I can confirm that everything works OK with me in Logic, the effects like breath and key noise work well on saxes, most of the front line works OK - could have done with shakes on trumpets, but the rhythm instruments are less than impressive (basses guitars piano etc..)
I hope this helps - and I hope someone can help me! PS I'm a fluffy and don't do hyper technical!
