I absolutely love the Traktor DJ iPad app. On the whole it's a really cool bit of kit. I have one comment to make about the Gate effect though.

I would like to be able to activate the effect with my finger on the 'lower' part of the touch pad, thereby bringing it in 100% 'dry', then drag upwards to increase the effect's 'wetness', if that makes sense.

However, pressing in the lower part of the pad brings the effect in 100% wet. It's not until I move my finger slightly that the wet/dry amount adjusts relative to the position of my finger. And that, to me, isn't good. I hope all this makes sense.

I'd like to be able to bring the effect in gradually, not have it come crashing in, as that's too abrupt, but can't find a way to do this.

Does anybody else have this problem? If so is there any chance this could be rectified in an update? It would definitely improve an already great app.

    :)))

I've noticed too. It kind of pops when you touch it. I think it might be related to the timing of when you hit it, like if you touch it when the gate is "open."

Same here. Seems like a bug to me, so I was planning to email NI about it. Hopefully they'll get it fixed soon...

Right, not just me then. Hopefully NI developers monitor this forum and can work it into the next update?

Am I right in thinking that this has been fixed in the latest update? I don't see to be getting this issue now...

Yeah looks to be fixed. I thought it was me doing something wrong. Its definitely smooth and not risky to use anymore.
