General Audio8 Functions?

So I own a xone:4d mixer and I do not use my audio8 interface. I do have a home setup with a line in and a turntable for listening purposes.

I do notice the audio8 has no aux power for the unit.

Is it possible to run the unit safely on a usb outlet?

I would like to have this stationed at home for use.

Would it be possible to have the audio8 powered by a wall outlet - usb?

And is there any software mixer for the audio8? I do have the 'audio8 editor' but there are no levels for it.

What do you want to do with it?

So far i understand, that you want to hook up the USB port of the audio 8 to an electricity socket because....?

I'd say the Software Mixer for the Audio 8 would be Traktor

 

tjere are no level controls for the audio8dj because the hardware doesn't allow it. If you want software control of the volume you'll need to use the individual controls within each application... otherwise use a hardware mixer in between the A8DJ and your speakers

as for powering the thing from the wall socket... you could use a powered hub, but there's no real point

 

I use the xone4d so the audio 8 is not needed. I really just wanted to leave it home and have a few different things hooked up to it (like a turntable) so I could just listen to tunes... I was just thinking maybe there was an input pot that could control the gain, but since this is designed for traktor, I understand why it is not needed.

Yeah, I see now there is no point with using a wall socket, because there is no gain functions really...
