    Hi guys,

    I have read the section on the manual but i cant seem to get my collection how i want.

    Basically I have a my MP3's in subfolders for different time of the night when playing out.

    Now in the browser I can see my MP3's using the explore option but this means opening a few directories and looks messy.

    Is there a way to have my MP3 folder with all the folders and subfolders show as default in Traktor?

    Read in the manual about the subject playlists please.
    The manual is right in your Traktor folder.

    What's the point in having a forum if the only answer people seem to give is to 'read the manual'. Perhaps chrisrawles is posting on this forum because he/she can't be bothered to read the manual. If someone posts something that you can't be arsed to answer, just don't answer it!

    Granted some of the questions are quite dumb, and one of the great things about traktor is that it is so darn easy to set up/config/use, that generally most things can be figured out without looking on this forum.

    But I think the pricks that say 'read the manual' are missing the point. This should be a place where fellow traktor users can come together and share ideas, thoughts, ideas about a great product, and not a place where some users try to show up others.

    Don't bother replying as I am not going to look at this any more

    Excuse me Carlosfong,
    I am just beeing polite to tell the guy what exactly he must look for in the manual. I also tell him where to find the manual in case he did not find it.
    Do you expect me to copy and paste the answer from the manual or something?

    Since you are such a grate contribute to this discussion why don't you answer the question from Chris Rawles in stead of dissing me?

    Try this:
    - Make from the root folder of your MP3s a Music Folder (can be done in Dialog Preferences/Data Location)
    -Then open the node Explorer/Music Folders/[your folder]

    Pro: You see the same folder structure in Traktor as it is on your drive
    Cons: It takes longer to open a folder via the explorer node, you cannot edit ID3-tags from the explorer node

    @carlosfong, tone the language down.

    @Everyone,
    On this forum new members are encouraged to ask any questions regardless of them being basic or obvious to others. Newbies keep this forum vital and forward thinking.

    However it also considered correct ettiquette that all users familiarize themselves with the manual.
    Not being bothered is never an accepted excuse for not knowing.

    Hmm,

    Well thanks for the help.

    Please note, In my orginal post I did state I had read the manual but could not quite get my collection to show how I wanted.

    I posted on here for some help and advise. In the meantime I had been playing with Traktor and working out all the features and how it works.

    I have had Traktor for 4 days and have only been able to use after work so i get 3-4 hrs a night, most of which i have been reading the manual, guides etc.

    This is my second post on this forum and so far it does not seem too friendly. Sorry im not up to the "PRO" speed some of you are.

    Please try to remeber that the whole digital DJ thing is still new to some of us, and is slightly weird after moving from years of vinyl and CDs.

    All I asked for was a little help!

    Chris, your input on the forum is as valued as anyone else.

    Starting out with Digital DJing is confusing and challenging. Like i said New members will not be made to feel inadequate by other members or I will step in.

    The point about not reading the Manual is aimed at any member who thinks that it doesnt matter if you read it or not.

    You clearly have read the manual so its all good, yeah ?

    It takes a long time to get familiar with Traktor.

    Post any questions you wish.
