    Hello there,

I'm planning on getting a mixer and two turntables to start dj'ing in my bedroom. Since my vinyl collection is quite new I wanted a setup where I can easily switch between my WAV files through timecode and my regular vinyl.
While browsing through the different gear options I ran into 2 problems:

    - I was essentialy thinking of getting the xone 23 but there is no switching between the line/phono possible per channel. The xone 42 does have this switch for each channel. Does that mean the xone 23 is not an option? (I preffered this one because I only need 2 channels but I don't mind to safe up for a 42 if this solves the problem)

    - I already own an A4DJ, will I be able to pull this setup of with this soundcard?

I'm looking forward to your replies,
    Best regards,
    Milo

I do own traktor scratch. Like you said, i'm not sure whether it will work with the 23. I believe if I get a multicore rca cable I can connect the turntable to both the line and phono output of the xone42 which will allow me to use both timecode and regular vinyl.
I'm not completely sure though. It would be great if you could enlighten me.

That was very helpfull JuliaO. So if I understand what you're saying the mixer doesn't need a line/phono switch, which was the reason I was opting for the xone 42 (does have this switch) over the xone 23 (doesn't have this switch).

*Edit: This video which talks about the audio 8 does talk about this line/phono switch. I'm confused now
