Native Instruments is really excelling itself in marketing Kontakt. There is already so much hype. Yeah, I'm looking forward to it as well, but I think it's going a little too far.

The original release date was obviously a complete tease. The campaign since the original release date passed has been very well structured with gradually increasing web pages and screenshots, and now this "award".

It also worked around the schedule of home page "ads" for other updates such as Spektral Delay.

Please, enough now of this cynical hype-peddling. NI has known all along EXACTLY when Kontakt would be released - and that is when the stage-managed hype canmpaign has run its course.

You can fool some of the people all the time....

Let's not be so cynical - do you really believe that the purpose of NI is to misle as many people as possible so we can look at our fancy flash previews longer? Kontakt has been in development over one year, and we are one month late in our release forecast. Considering how many people are involved that's pretty accurate.

It's not like the developers, sound designers, and manual writers are taking time out of their workday to create slick ads - that's one of the advantages of working in a company with a marketing department! : )

When you see kontakt I think you will be convinced that it was worth the wait.
