Getting Wonky

I guess this genre is more generally just "bass music". What could we call the thread? If we get a few responses I'll start it tomorrow.

By the way, Massive is about as modular as my mind gets when it comes to creating synth sounds. I need the sound I want as soon as possible. Although I have been looking into U-He ACE or U-He Zebra. But I will keep it as NI as possible from now on…

 

yeah that's where I'm at with it too.. although I do enjoy the idea of totally custom instruments, I just don't have the time to experiment and grasp the concepts behind most of the Reaktor stuff. I want sounds and I want them immediately. If there were some better tutorials for it ...sure but nothing clear have I found.

Its also massively compressed via sidechain, like BD pushing not just few chanels but whole track at once. Sometimes too much.

 

Having a thread for this genre would be great, I guess I'll refer to it as Wonk or Wonky, but what about "Broken Beat"? I think that name applies too.

How about Wonky/BrokenBeat Thread?

 

Broken Beat does sound more fitting.
