Giga Import out of Kontakt?

    This was listed two days ago as a feature, the ability to Import Giga format files, now its gone. Whats going on?

    Yeah, I read if off the cubase forums, so i was probably reading your post. Noticed no one had mentioned it here, so I thought I'd bring it up.

    I hope Giga hasn't really been taken out....I also hope Streaming is in!!!

    As far as I know the Giga import will be in, but we came across some problems parsing the file-format, which is incredible convoluted. So i can't promise, but we are trying to fit it in.

    I really think that you *have* to include giga support. Lots of folks use gigastudio and while i do use Halion, i really dont like it. If you can't make it into the final release, are we going to get a patch?

    Anyway i hope its in.

    No Giga Streaming?

    The small print in the Kontakt feature list on the NI web site says that all samples will be completely loaded into RAM. Piano samples often take 1.5 gigs and orchestras even more, there is no way these can be completely loaded into RAM.

    Will this be final or will the harddrive streaming be added later?
