    Hello everyone,
I just switched to Traktor2 pro and so far I like it.I am currently using an
    Alienware laptop
    2 gigs ram
Win XP Pro /service pack 3 ALL UPDATES
    2.01 GHz
Denon MC-6000 for my controller (latest firmware update)
    Asio Driver updated

My issue Im having is that when changing views from browser to deck view (2 decks)
the sound glitches when button is pressed on the Denon and when I use the software change view using the mouse.
I have shut off wifi, battery, and some of the background services, but to no avail.
    Any advice here?:|

Ok I am now using 2 decks and 2 mixer decks and while capturing a sample..the program skips while it loads.I have been down the road of turning this off, that off, moving video acceleration back a few notches trying to find the issue, but no luck yet.
VDJ Pro never had this problem that I am having now.Not to sure about keeping this as my DJ software of choice..

sounds like a pretty classic case of a latency problem.

what are your current latency settings (check the ASIO control panel)? what exact version of traktor are you running?

I have it set to 431 for latency in the Asio panel like I read on some of these PC suggestions threads. It was at 512.Running Traktor Pro 2.5.1

i don't use denon interfaces but 431 sure sounds strange. do you experience the glitches when running at 48kHz/512 samples latency, too? or just when latency is at this strange setting of 431?

I know that 431 looks strange but I was just trying out a setting that workd for someone else..as for the 48 or 44Hz I dont believe I can get a choice..Im at work at the moment..but I believe its set at 44 in the Asio window.I could be wrong here..might you have a few settings suggestions that I could try? I am looking at the new Alienware mx17 to upgrade..my original laptop was purchased in 2008, but I dont think this laptop should be giving me these issue just yet when playing.I can do video /music using VDJ without issues.I think its just a setting to get it balanced out..I hope
The Asio config defaulted to 512 when I first installed Traktor and used the setup wizard.I will put it back for starters tonight.Im afraid if I raise it any highter..the lag time will be more pronounced..
    Any tips appreciated

the audio interface in the mc6000 is capable of nothing but 16-bit, 48kHz stereo. therefore, you might as well set Traktor to 48kHz. internal resampling must occur in any event before the signal is passed on to the interface.

If thats the case..then I should be able to set Traktor to 48Hz in the preference.I hope its as simple as that...will let you know the outcome.
    Thankyou

Well here is my outcome...I went into regedit and deleted all Asio drivers that were listed.I went back into Traktor and assigned the MC6000 (direct sound) @ 44Hz (laptop sound card driver) and it worked flawlessly.I couldnt get it to skip a beat while doing everything I could think of that caused the pops and glitches as before. I then reinstalled the latest Denon Asio driver 2.20 and reassigned in Traktor at 48Hz and the problem came back.Switched back to soundcard driver at 44Hz and all is well.
By the way..Im using Internal mixer as a setting in Traktor.
So thats my story...I suppose I should take this over to the Denon forums..
