Pretty nice update from what i've seen so far. Love the gui, seems more robust and quick overall. The timeline is god-send, i like being able to click anywhere in the song...
Manipulation of patterns/scene length is much improved, imo

Don't really like how you have to click a drop down to select patterns for a scene, the previous "pattern bar" way seemed more easier and logical to me...

What i noticed most of all is the overall audio engine seems better to my ears...? Presets/sound seems more crisp and polished to my ears, especially the new library sounds, anyone else experience this??

    Anyway, great update!

some would consider this heresy im sure the mathematicians will tell you 32 bit floating point is always 32 bit but good to hear that u can perceive differences I was hoping this would be the case.

how do the drum synths sound

i didn't even find the pattern selection yet. looked in the software only for minutes, because i've got to go to work, where i'm actually at.

the 1.8.2 pattern selection thing was fine already - why change that?!

you have to go to the pattern section and there is a little arrow u click and the patterns will show in a list, you then choose the one you want in that scene.
i agree, the 1.8 way was much simpler, this can get tedious when building a song, unless there is another way to do this i haven't discovered.

the drums synths are sexy. that is all. very light on cpu from what i can tell. the 'sub' kick is nasty for pitched 808's. it's perfectly pitched so its like creating an 808 in massive/fm8 and playing it on the keyboard.

    thanks mobetta.

would defintely prefer the 1.8 pattern selection with numbers. u could see the right pattern within a second or less. much better.

i think because the whole gui looks fresher, crisper, you get the impression it sounds better...i certainly thought the 1.8 kits did on v2...

LOL, kcearl you may be right, idk, it could very well be psychological, who knows

I still like the update overall, but not the omission of he pattern selector, and i really hate i can't quantize from the software...
that's almost a dealbreaker for me, cuz i don't always have the mk2 with me!

Yeah theres a couple of strange choices with the update...maybe further updates will address some of these..
