Is anyone using GR with a notebook and headphones? I just got a new iBook and I'm looking for a pair of headphones. Your recommendations would be appreciated

    Thanks

For good mid-frequency reproduction (guitar range) I suggest the Grado series. The SR 60-80's are fairly cheap and you cant beat them with 99% of what you find in stores. They go about $75-100 I believe. For about $300 Sennheiser has some very good/comfortable ones called HD 595. Though in that price range there are others to consider. Check out Headphone.com for some good info.

That´s right. And if you want it loud, then get the Sennheiser hd 25. It´s a closed type headphone.

Another vote for Sennheiser here. Currently I am using the HD 212 Pro, which are inexpensive as Sennheisers go, but still good (also a closed-back headphone). Very comfortable and adjustable.

I've had my eye on the Sennheiser HD-500s for a while, but they don't have a terribly flat response from what I've heard (more for music listening than for studio work), but on the other hand no headphone amplifier is needed with them. I think they can be had for around $100USD.
