GR2 Registration Tool Not Working

I called NI tech support and they said they have to contact Germany about my registration tool not working. The Registration Tool brings up my system ID but none of the buttons for registering work, including the "submit" button.

This is pretty frustrating spending $500 on software and it doesn't work, and there is no estimate from NI for when I should expect a solution to my problem. Anyone else have this problem?

Windows XP Pentium 4 3.0ghertz, 1 gig RAM

 

I had to do mine twice. Now my problem is getting the RK powered -some kind of USB problem.

 

the apps that look at my Rig Kontrol 2 seem to work fine via USB 2.0. My Rig Kontrol 2 appears to work (I cannot verify actual operation) But I cannot boot up the GR2 app and the registration tool does not work. I'm bummed out because I ordered this months ago and it seems I am one of the first "beta testers" who actually paid $500 for software that I can't even boot up.

 

im having the same problems and its frustrating i installed it and played with it for a couple of days then the other night i took out my hard drive ( secondary one ) and some other stuff and put everything back in sept the second hard drive and now the reg tool wont work ur supposed to be allowed to activate it twice with out having to contact NI wat the hell is wrong some one please help

 

I'm having a similar issue with the Registration tool but I'm using a new Quad Mac G5. The Reg tool won't even run but tech support keeps asking for my system ID. I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall there. The support process needs very much to be improved.

I certainly expected more for my $400 for Absynth.

I posted the same two weeks ago. As sad as it sounds, I'm glad that we have the same problem. Please log an issue on the registration page. There is power in numbers. I thought it may be hardware related but now I'm thinking it's a bad version that shipped w/ some GR2's.

K2 and AZ registrations also fail saying my that my Sys id has changed (within a few minutes ?).

Either the latest version of GR2 or changing the system drive to C: (mine was a different letter) fixed the problem. I guess they hardcoded "C:\" somewhere in the code... who knows why.
