    Hey all!

    I bought a new x-fi soundcard for my laptop just for the purpose of running GR3 on it. It supposedly support asio 2.0 and has low delay, and i certainly cannot complain about the sound quality.

    However in gr3 i only have direct sound with horrible delay or a setting named multimedia, wich crashes when i try to slide the delay. What is multimedia? the manual tells me nothing.

    Any way i can check if aspio driver and/or wdm driver is installed? Device manager just say Creative x-fi driver installed.

    Im using Vista32bit on a hp turion64x2. (cant turn off cpu scaling as suggested elsewhere, but set it to run at max)

    Welcome =)

    Go to your audio/MIDI settings; ASIO should be listed. If it's not listed under 44.1, try 48- a lot of Creative products only use 48k/16 bit or 96k/24 bit for ASIO.

    If there isn't a listing, use ASIO4All.

    No reason at all the notebook can't support asio drivers just make sure you enable them in your contol panel and in guitar rig 3
