    Hey all!

I'll receive my GR3 Kontrol edition tomorrow and just wanted to ask you guys if there is any chance to get presets which could give me sounds like :
    - Satriani in "The forgotten part 2"
    - Santana in "Europa" (in fact there is 2 types of sound in this one).

That will help me to have fun with the software just 5 minutes after I'll get out of the box.

I don't know if there is somewhere a kind a "GR3 Preset Database", that would be great.

    Thanks a lot !

for presets go to the website and click on Community. from there you can access the guitar rig user library.

There is actually a satriani preset that is decent, you just have to tweak its e.q. to your guitar. You can acheive a decent santana sound with the clean hiwhite or ultrasonic amp and one or two tube screamers chained together(one for a boost the other with gain maxed). Guitar rig takes alot of tweaking to get sounds together, so keep tweaking.

Go to the Tone Workshop board up above.

I have posted several Satch tunes and uploaded the presets I use in some of the post.

I don't really ever try and create patches that sounds like this song or that, but you may like the patches anyway.

The Vai tune I posted also uses that same patch as the Satch tunes.

This question is not going to be easy to ask, for two reasons: first because English is not my mother tongue and secondly because I'm a beginner in the use of Guitar Rig.

Well, here we go. I would like to make the note to last longer. I'm using the Santana preset available here but to play Europa, it doesn't work, like during the chorus, the note last a very long time...but ith these preset, no way to keep the note more than 5 seconds....

I used to play with a friend's pedal, and when I added distortion, I was actually able to have the kind of sound I'm looking for....and it was a pretty cheap pedal, so I'm sure there is a way to do the same with my new beloved guitar rig !

    Thanks !

you're talking about sustain - right? usualy this depends on guitar type (strats sustain lesser than les pauls, tremelo sustain lesser than hardtail and so on)

besides guitar (which I believe has the most influence), there are a number of tools (available in GR) that may significantly improve the sustain, such as compresion and distorsion.

    Thanks for your answer kope.

Yeah, I'm talking about sustain. I have a Les Paul type guitar.

In fact, this is the bank I'm actually using (I uploaded it here):
    http://manovski.free.fr/temp/Messons.bnk

I'm using the preset call "Santana - Europa Disto", I've downloaded it here. I like the sound of that preset, but I just think that there is not enough "sustain"..maybe I should say disto, because sustain is more concerning my guitar itself than the settings of the rig. Anyway, I tried to modify it by adding some components, like "DISTORTION" or "CAT" but it actually change the sound ! I don't want to change the sound but only adding some sustain...is it possible ?
