Grace period update..

Has anyone here heard when the links for the grace period update will be released. I've sent a scan of my reciept but still heard nothing.

I sent a scan a month ago and still nothing. Although, *cough*, I've read more than one report of people sending their information in LAST WEEK and getting their link in two days.

just in case you're curious.. this is from the Absynth users forum on yahoo:

"I faxed my reciept to NI NA on Tuesday. Today(Friday) I received my
Email with the DL link."

Funny, that. He had a three day turn around.

i would be nice if NI could say how long it will take.

Maybe we could get an indication of how long we will have to wait?

Especially since we were last told that we should all have been taken care of by now?

Also. Please let us know about the free patches. I think that grace period upgraders should get them as well, especially those of us who are stiull waiting.

Contact Tina at the NI Berlin office, and address it's topic as "ATTN: Tina- Absynth 2 upgrade?" ... I did this and got my link back within 24 hours. If she see's it, she is good about replying ASAP. Hope this helps....

 

Unless you work at NI, and your name is Tina I wouldn't post something like this. I believe you just got lucky there spikey. I've tried this (as you mentioned it earlier) and I still haven't had a reply. But who know's, maybe Tina doesn't like greenfairy's and won't send them links. I wouldn't doubt it, seeing how shady this company opperates.

11 days and counting. (upwards that is)

 

Frankly I don't want special treatment... I think that we should ALL have our updates by now. NI hasn't posted the reason of the week as to why we don't yet.

Maybe they are going to wait until we all buy the paid upgrade.

got an email today from Jan Klemm(NI) and he says they never got my order...
now breaks my wooden shoe! (in good Dutch)
i've sent it the 18th so they must have lost it.
Jan told me they had over a 1000 orders to handle.
maybe for the next time: send us an email a week before an update so NI can sort it out on time.
just sent my order again, i'll keep you informed.

Ha - I sent my order in on the 1st of July but no word yet.

I don't think the date of the order has anything to do with NI's delivery of this update.

only 1000 orders? It has been 12 days. That means they are not even doing 10/hour. Wow. Sounds like it could be a while yet. Maybe they ought to hire a temp to help out. Perhaps I could write a perl script to help out.

At least say that you'll give us a copy of the free presets. I really feel like this is getting to be crazy. It is certainly making *me* crazy.

I might have been lucky, but I dont think so. I think it gos deeper.
After I sent the email for request of her help, I sent another praise email for Her fast reply and email link help, and she then sent me back ANOTHER email, thanking me for being so nice about it all! Imagine me getting a thank you for being so nice- must have been a switch from what She had been getting eh? Obviously some folks arnt very polite or nice.. Somehow i would think that she has 2 piles of requests sitting there... One that uses a little respect toward others, and one that is rude and demanding... Luck? No- it was more like not biting their virtual heads off with hate emails, telling the truth, and getting my information to them nearly a month in advance, and handling the situation like an adult. Yes, I explained to Her that I was upset, but did it in a way she could relate to, not in a hateful way... She understood, and helped me, and It didnt require any luck, just a little common niceness and logic about it all... Besides all that, I was Just trying to help everyone here get what they wanted, so please keep yer pantys on... Luck I dont think had a thing to do with it. In pure speculation, Bad luck, or demanding emails may have something to do with you not getting yours so far, however.

Well I've only communicated with NI USA and they offered to see if they could get my name put on the top of the list.

I asked if the list was in order such that the people who faxed their info were first. I was assured that it was. So I asked to not have my name put to the top. In any case I faxed my stuff more than a month ago and still no link.

 

Just got mail from Jan(NI) again. Now he asks for my credit card number.(?!)
i've lost it.
will i ever get my update link?
i emailed back and am waiting for some news again...
will keep you informed.
