    Hi
    Really need som help here.
-Is it possible to switch loop off in Grain Cloud? As it is now every grain loops.
-What is gate (G) doing? Sending 0- or -1 doesn’t do anything here.

Try googling "Asynchronous Granular Synthesis". That should give you a better understanding about what exactly is going on as far as grains "looping".

the G-input instantly starts a new grain....u can use it to clock your grains yourself. wire a clock or some other gate-signal-source to the g-input and your grains or grain streams will come out synced. u should try out and wire around a little. that´s what i did to figure out how graincloud inputs work.

    one more thing....
i used the G-inpu for building a choas rythm-machine using single grains as sounds. i had a clock wird to G, creating a 8th or 16th rythm (grainsdistance was quite large....larger then the time between two beats). additionaly the position jitter was switched on, so i had a 8th/16thj beat with random sounds or silence on each note.

i hope u understood this and it helped u to understand what the g-input is used for.

actually a cool idea...but i always think my ensembles arent good enough. and simply too messy. but i think this machine really might be a nice thing for u guys too...i will clean up structure and panel and upload it...just give me some time. writing math tests soon :( and reaktor is very good at keeping me from doing things i have to do!

    u will see...
