Here comes yet another new fancy toy to spend your money on that will not work with our iPad app!!

    Get your wallets ready!!

Maschine MK3 - we have redesigned the same thing you are used to and included many of the workflow improvements you have requested for years and packaged with... get this.... new fonts.

You still will have the same issues as before, but now with a whole lot more with our new and improved (not really) software. As before, we will solve some issues months after, but you can rely on not being able to use the controller for anything other than Maschine and still not use it for the iMaschine app.

    Happy spending.

There's is a modicum of hope - the on board interface is class compliant.

You will never be very mobile because without an external power adapter it will never work. Those screens need too much power which an iPad can not provide. So you will either need a power supply for Maschine or a powered USB hub.

Maybe with new cck3usb and lightning adapter plugged.
I'm not sure how much energy can handle the new vs old but Imread somewhere some differences between them.
Since it's usb it should work (almost in low mode like launchpads even being not screens available maybe)

Let's see if NI brings some surprises in the software side... :)

I can't believe that Native Instruments did not even test their new device on an iPad if it's really "class compliant", ignoring a large chunk of potential buyers judging by comments elsewhere on the web.

No, I think the point is that the iMaschine app is not even worthy of hardware support. That’s how weak it is.

When you look at most of the music production apps on the App Store, iMaschine scores lower than some of the most basic yet comes from a company that has an extensive hardware lineup and is a strong shareholder in the music production community worldwide.

Quite frankly, I’m honestly surprised how one would not be embarrassed by this as a company. It’s like an entire division “**** the bed” and the rest of the company just turned away hoping it would just disappear by itself.

I like using Imaschine on my Ipad Pro, and iphone 8 plus! Great sketchpad until I get home to my Mk3 and komplete kontrol mk 2. Does what it's supposed to do!

Yes but for iOS users isn’t enough to make the investment. Look at Traktor dj app, it supports s2/4 mk2 and audio6/10 dj which time to time makes me wonder the possibility of buy one (I had audio4 in the past) but leaving the app buried in time doesn’t feel right. Then I look into djay compatible controllers and forget about NI (but makes me sad since I like Traktor)
Same for F1. If NI implements Remix decks and F1/D2 support, bang! But it seems not going to happen almost until Q3 2018 which in technology field is a lot (or maybe they are keeping the announcements a bit like Rane did with the twelve controller and new mixer... until get purchased by inMusic... mmmm  okno, xmas is too near, they released Maschine mk3 and that’s it :()
