    Hi,
    I'm looking for some variation of the Import/Export Group feature.
    I have an instrument setup just how i like it:

    * FX and Filters
    * Modulations of Source/Filter/FX/Amplfier
    * Midi mappings of all the above

    This was a bunch of work. Its for a synth.
    What i'd like to apply this work to a different synth instrument. So i want to export Midi & Modulation settings but NOT the samples. Then i'd like to import these settings and keep the existing samples on the new instrument. Does that make sense?

    Any guidance on this?

    Thanks!

    I found one way to do it.

    1) Export the Group from my instrument with all the cool modulations and midi mappings
    2) Import the Group into another Instrument
    3) Delete all the zones from the Imported Group
    4) Copy zones from the existing Group and paste into the imported Group
    5) Delete the existing Group.

    This seems to work tho its a little hacky. Plus it takes a bit of time and I was hoping to do this to about 40 synth instruments. Any thoughts on this?

    You can just select ALL the groups from one instrument, then in the other instrument right-click in the Group Editor and select "Paste group(s) without samples".

    Thanks EvilDragon thats good to know. But thats only a small piece of it. When you do that it creates a NEW group, so i still have to copy over the samples from the old group to the new group. I guess a "merge" group feature is what i was looking for...
