    Hi,
    i am in the process of developing a simple freebie wood flute. While mapping i wanted to implement a feature for which i needed help

    What i want to do is .. say

    Grp1=sustain
    Grp2=Trill

    i would like to start the group 2 when mod wheel is activated.Now the problem is
    when Grp 2 start option is assign to mod wheel , it does switch the grp from sus to trill
    but as i have not triggered a note it keeps playing the sustain group. where as i want the sus group to seamlessly blend into trill while pushing up the mod wheel ..and while the key is held down and not released . Any suggestions or scripts that could do the same ?

    best

    That's how group start options work - always on next note. No changes during currently held notes.

    You should probably not use group start options, instead make both groups play at the same time, and modulate the Volume knob of both groups with CC1 in opposite directions. That will crossfade the groups.

    Hi ED!
    good to hear from you ! thank you for the help .. i had done as you advised. unfortunately .. the only thing is that i will have to record really long trills or make find endless loop points in the sample . Thank you for the swift reply. ! :)

    ED,
    When you say "modulate the Volume knob of both groups with CC1 in opposite directions. That will crossfade the groups." Do you mean add a volume modulator on the Amplifier Mod Tab or create a script knob to do this?
