Ya, I like the way it looks and functions. I took a wav and stretched it from
105 to 52.5 BPM ( reducing by half ) is a good way to see how good time stretch works on anything that has that function. It worked really well, it didn't sound like a sample, that's keymapped and being played down an octave.
I think NI is going in the right direction, and will separate itself from other competition by having multiple types of systhesis integrated with the sampling and sequencer functions. I can see that AKAI will have a great sampler with tight sequencing (RENN), so it will come down to what you want. It reminds me when Ensoniq came out with the ASR-X ( which can still give any SW sampler a run for the money), I could spend hours on a sample with all the functions it had. But because the MPC was what everyone would see in a music video,it was still more popular..even though a lot of people would return them because they did not have a synth built in and you had to know about sampling before you bought it or it would become a big paper weight! If only Ensoniq could have had a stable sequencer, who knows where they could have gone.

If these are MK1 controllers plugged into the 1.8 software, it's good to see that you can still colour code the on-screen sounds and groups. Pretty obvious that you could I guess, but I was wondering about it.

Im not a dog so i don't have to be happy getting massive for free like a treat. Those who really wanted it are likely to have it from the komplete sale. Why do you think they give us that for free, that no one(?) requested?
Don't get me wrong, i love my dog more than anything else. But there's a reason why i rule in this house. I can make him hungry, happy, interested, relaxed and behaving badly with just my voice.
Im not a dog. I whine at a company with only $$ on its mind or else it will run us over.

It's a shame they removed all the old posts. You could have seen how some "loyal" and "happy" customers, maybe even "defensive" and/or "fanboyish", have turned around and openly criticize NI. Not going to mention names out of respect (and my inability to back it up as all the old posts are gone....)

So, what's next for 1.9? Sidechain..? Or a demo of massive 2.0 plus some cant-resist upgrade offer for it?

I am very happy for 1.8. You can be that and complaining at the same time. At least i can.
    ---
Considering the timing of the announcement, how long ago do you think 1.8 REALLY was done?

Thanks for the pictures, it looks cool. Hopefully this drops sooner than later since its obviously complete enough for a public demo like Guitar Center. I'm sure there are still bugs to be ironed out but that's always the case with software. One could even say we just beta test all the software we use. :p

Damn the colors make more sense when you see it in the flesh...looks crisper all round

Well theres a sense of entitlement and there are legitimate complaints...it seems that one is confused for the other in here

This isnt the only forum where NI is mentioned, in fact its pretty small compared to the others, and it doesnt have the best of reps when it comes to its customers. I never really understood this animosity from people but im beginning too a little now

    Im 45 ftr....

No apology necessary. Some of these folks need a nice long ban while they think about how over paranoid, negative, and insecure they are.

@ all of you disgruntled users: The only acknowledgement I will give you is to say this- There is no reason to come into every thread and bash at other users or NI. If you don't like the product or these forums enough to post legitimate criticisms in a respectful way then just leave and don't come back. Stop using Maschine and stop coming here. Better for you and better for us.

Now back to talking about 1.8..

In that last pic it shows r162 wich is an old beta build. ( there is a newer one.) Some beta tester just loaded it on the computer at work.

c'mon lets just go make some loops in maschine and transfer them into our daws so we can make real songs. it's much better than debating underwhelming future events

    V1.8

You are right..I really didn't want to say, but this version of 1.8 has been on the iMacs at GC for a while. My guess is that it's set to be released. I don't know why they would wait to release it with the MKII's, since it's clear with all the changes they made to Maschine and the accessories..they are active on the forums, and take into account what we ask for.

There are plenty of other companies that release products, and after a few updates you never hear from them. Roland and Yamaha, are known for this. I think it's plain to see Maschine is going to be the center of their focus for a long time. If they come out with something like Panorama P4, which seems like a possibility..Maschine would still be top of their line.

If anyone has not seen the P4, here is a link! It's pretty sweet!

Haven't seen that before. It looks like something out of 2001.

Very nice looking but I'm not big on Reason... as a MIDI controller it would be sweet but I've already got enough of those atm
