    Hi,
I'm planning to use Guitar Rig 2 and Ableton Live with a Macbook for live performances. (I will buy the software and the laptop soon).

Does anyone knows if it is possible to control both Guitar Rig 2 and Live, with the rig control?
I gues I should use Guitar rig as a plug-in, right?
    Many thanks

    Welcome :)

    1) There's no IntelMac version of GR as of yet, so I'd wait until it's released. You CAN run both GR and Live in XP using bootcamp, though- some Live users have said they get much better performance out of Live in general using bootcamp and XP instead of the UB compliant version of Live on an IntelMac.
    2) Rig Kontrol isn't a MIDI controller- it uses host automation in an encoded audio track. So, while you can control GR in Live with it, you can't control anything else- it's a dedicated controller.

Actually, the above reply has cleared something up for ME. Thanks for that :)
Instead of buying a GR2/RK2 package for £299 I'm going to buy GR1/RK1 with the GR2 upgrade for a total of £170.
    Result!
And then maybe buy a different USB/MIDI based controller at a later date.
