    I just installed Guitar Rig 2, and no sound was commin out. I went into the audio+midi settings and changed the Interface to Multimedia. After doing so, my Guitar Rig 2 instantly "unexpectedly quit". Every time I start Guitar Rig up now, it just says "GuitarRig2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I cant change the interface back to DirectSound before it quits... I already reinstalled 3-4 times, and it doesnt help. Does anyone know what to do??? :( :( :( Thx in advance!

    Welcome =)

    What's your processor? Version of Windows? What are you using for a soundcard?

    Im usin Windows XP and a Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit sound card. My sound card is an AMD Athlon 3000+ at 2.4 GHz.

    You have SSE enabled? Some Athlons either 1) don't have SSE, or 2) need it enabled through a management tool available on the AMD site. Check that first. Download cpu-z and run it.
    The screen that comes up will tell you all the instruction sets you have enabled. GR needs SSE to run.

    Next, I'd ditch the Soundblaster. If that's not an option for you, I'd download asio4all and use that in place of the Creative drivers.

    Try that and see if that helps.

    Oh- SP1 or SP2 as far as XP goes?

    That shouldnt be the problem. It was kind of working at first, the guitar was just a bit choppy. Again, it was only after I switched to the "Multimedia" interface when the crashing started. Since GR cannot run without crashing, I cant change the interface setting WITHIN GR. Is there a way to change the setting OUTSIDE of GR? Reinstalling doesn't work either.

    Nope, there isn't.

    Have you tried system restore? Try restoring to a point before you started having issues. I'd still install asio4all and try that as well.

    If neither of those work, it's time to contact support.
