Guitar Rig 3 officially announced

Hey, that's cool. I mean, it wasn't really asking for new bass modules. There's also the bassman model. I mean, it's more about the sound quality of the BassVT. It's ok... but could be better.

Any updates on the actual sound quality?

 

The Old Oranges are used as bass amps quite frequently too.

 

Today I talked to NI in Berlin. I was told that they will probably start to sell a GR3+RK3 "update" bundle like a lot of us were praying for. They couldn't tell me a date, but I was told to be waiting this week.

That would be a really nice step from NI, since they seem to be listening to their customers.

Looking forward to having GR3 and RK3

 

NI is definitely listening and is always seeking to improve the quality of your experience.

 

Hey Marc, since you have been in position of the moderator here, we get answers more quickly and I think that the support has gotten better.

It was really lousy especially around the time when NI was delaying the universal binary release all the time

This is great news! I'd been planning on this bundled package and was disappointed when I didn't see it offered. Thanks for the info, now for the DEMO!

 

I am pretty sure that there is no combined software/hardware upgrade for GR3 planned. I will double-check tomorrow, but for now I am pretty sure that this was a misunderstanding either between you and the NI employee you talked to, or between that person and the Guitar Rig team. More on that tomorrow.

He seemed pretty confident that it will show up, but did not know the time. Hopefully he was right

It was not planned before but he told me that a lot of people asked for it and so they were going for it.

 

BUMMER. I was one of those who let out a happy whoop when I saw the news that there was going to be an RK3 + GR3 update for registered owners of GR2. If there's any way to put a word in that lots of us would be very happy about that, please do!

Anything on how the amp modules? Sound quality improvments etc?

 

I know I read that the system requirements were greater for GR3 than for GR2, but I can't seem to find that info. Does anyone have a link for this info, please?

I imagine there should be slight improvements to the sound. I mean an update on the GUI and the functions of the program are just bonus selling features.
What sells the product is how it sounds.

Just need another £70 to update to Sonar 7 producer edition aswell!

pre-ordered? From NI or somewhere else? Being from Canada, I'm not sure which option of on-line ordering would be best for my needs i.e. speed/cost. I'm looking to purchase GR3&RK3

 

I pre-orded from the NI online shop the day GR3 was officially announced. Just yesterday (24th), I received an email from NI that my GR3 has been shipped. I was expecting it to ship on 1 October, but it appears I'll be receiving it by 1 October. Excellent!
