    Hi Everyone,

New to the forums here but I had some questions. I am starting my own little home studio for my self, no live performances or anything.

I tried out the demo for Guitar Rig 3 and it seems awesome! I am very interested in purchasing it but I also want to get Wah-Wah capeabilities so I am looking at the Kontrol 3. However I am wondering if this is the best choice for me being that I am a MacPro user and I already use a digidesign Mbox Pro2 for my audio connections. I have also read about many problems with the Kontrol and Mac OS, is this still true?

Can I use any Midi Pedal for Guitar Rig ? for the Wah-Wah and patch switching? What benefits with the Kontrol give me that I'm not realizing?

    Please advise. Thanks so much.

Not a bad idea. The problems some/many users had with Mac/RK2 was on the audio side, which you will not use - as a controller it works fine. You can buy mine :-D

Your alternatives are MIDI pedalboards. There are not that many of them, and few are small and unobtrusive like RigKontrol, and most of the smaller ones doesn't have a pedal at all...
So called Expression pedals will not work straight into your MIDI in, as they are analog and need to be translated to MIDI first (which some pedalboards can do for you - even RigKontrol BTW). There's only one all-contained MIDI CC pedal available that I know of and it's from Prostage (www.prostage.info). It's heavy duty stage gear however, and therefore rather expensive...
