Look behind rack, internal mixer, and delay fx insert

What about being able to turn the rack around, like Reason to be able to make custom connections. Like the rack gear of the 80's and 90's, a lot of the magic happened in the back of the rack

Or and a mixer and splitter that could create send style fx's.

Or a delay with the ability to insert an fx inside the delay line, so that for instance, a ring modulator in the delay would become more and more modulated each delay cycle.

I think someone said it earlier but I say it again... I would love to see some Lexicon Reverb... Lexicon reverbs are positively mouth watering and they can be licensed. I would be happy to pay for that upgrade!

A talk wah that lets you type in what it will say.

    Text input for delay times

Two more foot switched on the RK4 and second expression pedal

Memory based solution with screen built into the "Rig Control" so that you won't have to deal with a laptop on stage.

Maybe a choice between USB.2 and FW800 connection

    Tuner info on the RK4

Tap footswitch is a soft touch switch and not the “kaLICK” styled footswitch

    Soldano (+infinity!)

Wish: Be able to use VST's in stand-alone mode.

You have my vote on being able to use VST's in stand-alone mode!

main thing would be to be able to play live on stage w tube amps and possibly no computer (built in memory and tuner)

    yeah but WHEN ?

I'm diggin' all of the ideas.
Mine would be a bigger, cooler foot controller with on board tuner display as well.
But I'm really wondering if any one has heard when it's coming. I know NI is very tight lipped but someone's got have a hint.
    :)

I can only guess it'll be out for the holidays. GR2 came out Nov 2005. GR3 came out in 2007. I'd say they're due soon.

as was mentioned before: More bass sounds. there is lots of guitar stuff already but the bass side still needs more. Its like 80% guitar / 20% bass right now.....

    Per-string processing!

Okay, what I think would be sweet: Roland-style 13-pin jack and a hex ADC so that you get a separately-digitized channel for each string.

That would open the door for guitar rig to do everything a VG-99 can do.

It might also make possible some wicked fast-tracking synth sounds, essentially using each string modeler as an "oscillator", rather using pitch tracking to drive traditional oscillators... e.g. plug those modeller/"oscillators" into kore/komplete and go nutz...

So, the basic direction is that we will eventually need the capability to play Kore Player with our guitars :) Right? :p

    Splitter that split...

The splitter is a nice features, but if you try to use both inputs and send them to differents output, like stereo in to stereo out, you canot keep each channel independant... Why? As soon as you put a amp emulator on one of the 2 path, it's output is sent to both output instead of staying on its own path. With a proper implemented splitter, I could have been able to use at the same time my electric output and piezo output and forward each output to different amps! That would be nice.:D

The rotary effect only have 2 or 3 speed, why not make it variable? Thanks! Good soft!

Jy_p, what you describe aldready IS the default behaviour when using both inputs. Each input is routed to a separate Split, and here you can use compononents that are either mono (amp sims, distortion) or stereo (Delays etc.) that are totally independent to the other side. When they meet again however, the default is mid position in the stereo field. If not you wouldn't be able to hear any stereo effects as stereo. In the Split Mixer you can however pan each split section hard to any side with that little knob. This way you can route each input & its effects to two separate outputs if you like. Each side will then be a mono signal of course. The slider on the Split mixer is not a pan control! Rather it determines the mix of the two sides; you can have 10% of split 'A' and 90% of 'B', but the panning of each is totally independent - i.e. 'A' is not 'left' and 'B' = 'right', they can be positioned anywhere you like, even modulated from side to side with a Modifier component. The Split module(s) is very flexible. The layout could have been better.

I think the reason why the Rotary effect only has two speeds is because it replicates the functionality of an old Leslie device from the 60's or even the 50's. Why not variable? Yes, why not. Update!
