An Acoustic pre-amp please! Nice, clean... maybe a little tube warmer if you like, or EQ. Or forget the idea of "acoustic". Just a nice, clean tube pre-amp.

    I have one more suggestion;

Please add full xbox360 controller compatibility!

I would love to use the analogue stick/s as midi controllers for wah etc with -1octave in one direction and +1 octave in the other direction (could also do with being able to assign a different effect in the other plane and allow "morphing" between the 2 allocated sounds. I'd also like to be able to assign the xbox360 controller's buttons for the various triggering options.

Even if you could only implement 1 analogue stick, that'd be enough for some cool real-time near instant return to "neutral-position" wah/whammy bar-type action without all the detuning that goes on with real tremolo units and "faster-than-feet" effects. :D

The controller infact offers 2 of these. In effect allowing for a possible 4 assignable fx with analogue control!

Further more, being able to assign the diagonals aswell would allow for upto 8 sounds, 1 for each direction...thats 8 fx with 1 stick! 16 with both! All morphing into each other!

You could use the analogue stick's internal button to also "lock" the sound at any given moment and release when pressed again.

Please add this compatibility! Full documentation for support is available from microsoft.

This could allow for a relatively cheap guitar mod aswell with the sticks, buttons and circuit board modded into a guitar!

solution: get a wiimote and nunchuck, sync it up to your pc via bluetooth, and download GlovePIE. it's free software that converts wiimote signals into midi messages. you'll need a virtual midi port like midi Yoke.
you also get full tilt control (star power anyone?) and the buttons and triggers

    Lets hope

If GR4 is as good as the new free stuff around here, yes the hobbyists are getting good. It's worth the buy.

I will try the demo and buy it if it's as good as ABG's free software, which is killer.

My Wishlist (a lot has already been stated):

    - an FX Loop
    - Knobs on the Rig Kontrol
    - LED Displays for the foot switches
    - Daisy-chain Rig Kontrols
    - Diezel Amp Heads :D
    - Acoustic Preamp(s)
    - Fulcrum Switches on the Rig Kontrol
    - Touchscreen friendly interface
    - A better pitch shifter
    - Talk Wah with text ability (excellent idea from earlier in the thread)
    - More Bass options (heck, I don't care if you make standalone product that has just as many bass effects as Guitar Rig has guitar effects... I'd buy Bass Rig Pro :D )

I know that the beta version is out. Any idea when the final of GR4 will release?

GR4 released last october - the first update is still in beta. It's a sneaky way for NI to release buggy code to the public with out so much complaining.

I don't know if I want to mess with beta - is anyone using it and is it stable?

I've been using the public beta. It's very stable here; YMMV.

I can confirm in 4 days of jamming over a few weeks GR4 has only crashed once and that was probably because I was overclocking my laptop.

It's pretty good. I love it. With 8ms latency I'm now running both the guitar and bass through my laptop. It works nicely for jamming and pre-production demos.
