[Guitar Rig 5] Guitar Rig doesn`t respond on PC messages

Hi guys, I`m stuck with this problem for a weeek So the problem is that Guitar Rig 5 doesn`t change preset when I send midi PC (Program Change) message from FCB1010. I`m using Guitar Rig inside of Logic as plugin. I have a midi track in Logic and Guitar Rig is set there as an instrument.

FCB is configured properly and sends PC message to Logic and it can be visible in Monitor in Clicks & ports. Then I go to Guitar Rig instrument and activating Learn button, then push foot switch on FCB and (guess what) nothing happens. So as I said the midi pc message comes to Logic, but it aint come to Guitar Rig (( Please help to solve this.

PS: I`m using especially PC messages as I want to change presets (prev, next or to specific one). I`m not using CC as I understand they are more for controlling parametres from 0 to 127.

Is there a possibility to add a Instrument Track, then add one?!
The Instrument then would be the FCB1010,
and the Instrument-Output goes to Guitar Rig.

I had overlooked, your Midi Track is the Instrument Track.
Try the following steps like in the video below,
basic manner should be the same.

He has a Instrument Track for receiving Midi Data
and a Audio Track for listen and recored the Audio from Amp Sim.
He also said the he uses as Side Chain Input from Audio Interface...

Also he said that he must use Midi Channel 2 for his controller,
otherwise will not work, hold that in mind.

You will see, when done once, it's easy.

I tried what u have said BUT it didnt work and moreover - just to clarify - I`m not recording audio right to DAW (Logic) - I just want GUITAR RIG change preset when midi is sent - so I do not need an audio track for this purpose with any buses. I just want live performing. Regarding SIDE CHAIN - I have set it to input 1 so I can clearly hear the sound So basically the problem is not solved - the PC midi signal that is read by LOGIC itself - u can see it as well on my screenshot (the blue dot in the tempo section) - but it didn`t reach the Guitar Rig.

 

So, this guitar rig section didn`r receive any signal

i found something, and think this could be the missing brick.
Logic's "Smart Controls" has to learn the messages from FCB1010 and then, the "Smart Controls" have to be asigned to Guitar Rig.
I hope your Logic has "Smart Controls"

Hi Tino,
I solved that, the truth is that I didn`t pay much attention that u previously said not to use CHANNEL 1 to send PC messages and that was the problem, so I have changed Channel 1 to Channel 3 (just to be double shure ) on my FCB and now it`s working. And moreover - I do not have to set PC messages in Guitar Rig - it understands basic PC messages from the box, so I push PC message 1 and it changes on the Preset 1 in the current TAG Thank u for ur help a lot - с любовью из Москвы
