Guitar Rig 5 is not showing up in Maschine FX Library

I bought 2 weeks ago a brandnew Macbook Pro mid 2012 and installed my new Cross Upgrade Komplete 8. After installation from DVD I installed the delivered updates in the NI Service Centre. After that I checked the installation, everything was ok, except Guitar Rig 5. Guitar Rig is not mentioned in Maschine FX, it isn’t in the library, although it’s on the HD and it works standalone. How can I get Guitar Rig in my FX library?

 

which version of maschine are you using the 32bit or 64bit?you just may need to check your plugin path..

a 32bit version wont show the 64bit version plug in .and 64 wont show 32bit versions of plug ins.

also have you tried your channel plugin browser?if its not on maschines browser it should be in your fx plugins.

another thing is you have to run each native instrument plug in in standalone mode before they show up in maschines browser too..try just starting guitar rig on its own then restart maschine and see if it shows up.

 

I'm having the same problem---No Kontakt or GR in my Maschine. I've run it in standalone but I will check the plugin path this evening, thanks for the tip. @nik oni let us know if this works for you.

 

I know i had same issue and once i checked my plugin paths wre correct..(mine had my 32bit maschine browsing my 64bit plug in folder insted of it browsing my 32bit vst folder)and you also have to run each plugin seperatlly in standalone mode for a few mins i just clicked on a few presets and played around for a few mins..then i restarted my computer loaded up maschine ..did a rescan of my plugin folder and everything works fine.

I did take a longtime though or maschine to rescan and load all my plugins and arrange the presets to be choosable in the madvhine browser but it was worth it.

 

I forgot about plugin rescanning also, I'm going to try that as well.

 

You need to dl and install the Guitar Rig for Maschine patch (from the downloads section of the main site). It "maschinifies" all the GR stuff from Komplete 8, including Rammfire, Traktors 12 and others.

I don't really understand NI's update system (or lack therof) and why we need Service Center AND the website, and why there's different things on each, but anyway - that's what you need.

 

the service center is to try and stop piracy..there are some updates that are only available on service center.

annd if the orginal poster has a real copy of guitar rig he should have already installed and updated his products..i know the first time i authorised my plug ins service center downloaded loads of updates for komplete 8 which you ned to install too get them to run perfectlly with each other..if you have older guitar rig or kontakt some adons just wont work you need a higher update to run them thats why its best too run service center at least once a week to check for new updates.

 

I will check for that GR for Maschine...I agree though the SC is a complete nightmare. I've never had that thing work properly with its self scanning and restarting. I'm all for reducing piracy but that thing sucks.

 

Don't know what to tell you dude - I own a real and fully updated copy of Guitar Rig, and this patch never showed up in Service Center. I had to go to the downloads section of the website, login, then check out my updates to even notice it there near the bottom of the page.

 

I never would have known about it either...FYI my problem is now solved. Was running Maschine in 32 bit, so I unchecked that, ran the Guitar Rig patch, rescanned Battery and Kontakt library and everything showed up. Thanks for the help guys.

 

Maschine starts the 32-bit mode. I don’t know how to start Maschine in the 64-bit mode.

In Preferences and then Libraries, Guitar Rig is not showing up. In Preferences Plug-Ins under Manager the following plug-ins are present:
Guitar Rig 5 (VST)
Guitar Rig 5 FX (AU)
Guitar Rig 5 MFX (AU)

Under 64 Bit the same Plug-Ins are showing up.

I can't find The Guitar Rig for Maschine patch from the downloads section of the main site.

All software is genuine, new buyed from NI.

 

The guitar rig patch is fairly hidden for whatever reason. If you log in to the site under Updates, you will be taken to the Personal Update Manager. In the pulldown select Komplete 8, then scroll down and you will see it.

If you get info on the icon of your Maschine you will see a 32 bit checkbox. Uncheck it and you will be running 64 bit.

 

Thanks for your help so far. Maschine is now running in 64 bit.
I found the patch, downloaded it, but i won't install. The installation icon keeps bouncing. All guitar rig effects are indeed available in the plugin browser in the group section.

It worked! Problem solved. Set to 64 bit, downloaded and installed the patch and now is GR showed in the main menu. Thanks for all your help!
