    Hi Everyone,

I loved Guitar Rig many years to now. I've recently buyed a new sound card : a Focursite Solo 2i2.
Since i've setup that new hardware, i only got the output sound on one speaker... frustrating.

I've tried everything described in Focusite & GuitarRig documentations: configure the routing with every possibility, trying different driver versions... However there is not so much more to do. The ASIO driver used is "Focusrite ASIO", only things that i can configure with it is the buffer size and the framerate. Not more.

That sound cards works perfectly, i've tried it with "Amplitube 4", another virtual amp. As well as GR5 works well with a BEHRINGER sound card. It seems that there is a compatibility issue between GR5 & Focusrite?

Did you guys runs GR5 with a Focusrite? How did u configured it ?
    Thanks in advance!

    Arnaud

Honestly now, if you see GR5 on your Screen, Guitar in your Hand, and listen to the one Speaker,
if you play, what shows the Input of GR5? There is a Switch for Left and Right, ist there a Change when clicking?

    Hello !

Sorry for the late response ! And thank you.
So yes, i already tried that tips, as i seen on another forum threads...
When i play, the vumeter displays the audio signal, and i can only ear the sound from one side of speakers.
If i click on that little 'L' at the top of the window, i ear nothing no more. Anyway, The two buttons L&R are well activated.
If i switch the inputs in the preferences, input1<>input2, the sound goes out from the right side.

I only got that issue on GR5, as i told, i tried with demo versions of others VST and everything goes well. Tried with the GR6 demo as well, everything's ok.

I just wanna know if somebody uses GR5 with a focusrite solo sound card without problems...

    Hi Arnaud,
It seems you checked both inputs for/as stereo, no jack into Interface channel 2 --> no sound on output 'right'-side

You need/use your guitar mono, on input 1 only.

So switch the input in the preferences to GR5 input L --> input1 only!
And switch the input in the preferences to GR5 input R --> not connected

Output in the preferences to GR5 output L --> Focusrite 1 left
Output in the preferences to GR5 output R --> Focusrite 2 right

And now only activate the L button (picture above)

Tell me that it works o_O

    Regards,
    Tino

    Hello!

Thanks for the very detailed response.
I tried to reinstall GR5 today, and to follow your instructions, so i got :

    ASIO Configuration
Default, just changed from ASIO4ALL to Focusrite ASIO since i got my Focusrite soundcard.

Inputs configuration, the guitar is plugged on the input #2 on the Focusrite soundcard)
Here, if i try to 'duplicate' the input 2 on 'Guitar Rig 5 in R', it's reset from the L side. (if we could 'duplicate' the signal here i should solve the problem...). Also, and as i told, if i switch from L to R, i got the sound on the right side, but not on the L side anymore.

    Output configuration
Tried every other possibilities here, no changes.
    and finally the 'IN' switches
    tried L, R and L+R, no changes.

    Thanks for your help !

    Hi Arnaud,
that looks right for Guitar Rig.

I have an other Idea, but have to look into the Focusrite Manual.
I don't know the Inteface. Let's see what we can researche.

What we have to look for is:
I self have a Tascam Audio Interface, and there is a Option in the Settings Panel to configure the 2 Inputs either Mono or Stereo...
You could try to find such option in your Panel and switch the Inputs to Mono!
That would cause, the Interface give out Input #2 Channel on L + R,
Stereo means, Input #1 goes Output L and Input #2 goes Output R,
what could be the reason for receiving only one Channel in GR5...
(my english translation is bad today, sorry, i hope you understand what i write)

OK, let's look into the Manual and Settings Panel.

    Regards,
    Tino

    Hey Arnaud,
    is there something like that?
It's from Focusrite Solo Manual, Page 7:
    https://fael-downloads-prod.focusri...wnloads/20883/scarlett-solo-user-guidecl6.pdf

    Focusrite_inputconfig.png
    ..... Focusrite_outputconfig.png

    Input Config: Input 1(mono) & 2 (mono)
    Output Config: Output 1/2 (stereo)

    Can you find these options?

I installed the driver, but the panel want't open without Interface connected...

Where are the Images in your Post gone?
    They were great!

    Regards,
    Tino

    Hello !

Sorry again for the late response... I'm working away from home at half part of my time. And again thank you for your accompaniement !
The images are back, that's because they are self-hosted, and my server is not up 24/7 ;-)

In the manual of the Focusrite, the config part about the output/inputs is on Ableton, which is the audio sequencer (like Cubase, FLstudio or anything else) which is delivered with the sound card, and on which you can integrate VST plugins like the GR5 one. But i didn't need it, i'm directly starting GR5 from Windows...

The only things i can configure on the Focusrite control panel is the "sample rate" and the "buffer size", like on my first screen capture.

So... i tried to install that offered software 'Ableton Live 10 Lite', and it seems to work !
It looks so much complicated to only open a VST plugin, but it solves my audio problem !!!

So thank you very much... <3 !
