Guitar Rig 5

I think I posted this in the wrong location originally:

Hello,

I hope I am posting this in the correct location. I have been using Guitar Rig 5 Factory Selection for a few years now. Today I finally decided to purchase the full version. This is when I discovered that there is now a Guitar Rig 6. My question is, can I still buy Guitar Rig 5? Or is it mandatory to only purchase version 6??

You cannot buy GR5 from NI anymore, only second hand if you find it somewhere.

 

Oh darn, well thank you for your help!!! I might see if I can find it secondhand. I suppose it would have to be on a disc? There doesn't seem to be anywhere to officially download it any more that I can find.

 

No you would purchase a serial number then download/install it with Native Access.

But AFAIK most, if not all GR5 factory patches are in GR6 as well, so...

 

...i fear change..... but I'll probably bite the bullet and buy 6. Thanks again for your help

 

DieYuppieScum , are you still interested in a Guitar Pro 5 License? It's fully compatilbe with Rig Kontrol 3 and any MIDI Controller Pedal, it's stable, will not crash in Pro Tools or Logic Pro X and the sound it's exactly the same of GR6, except those things called ICM amps.

I sold mine on friday. Waiting now NI support to approve and send me the transfer ID. You are making the right choice, GR5 has support for all MIDI pedals, native Rig Kontrol support, has Live Peformance in full screen and a far better preset management.
