I'm tempted to do the upgrade to K3 from K2 as I need a bigger library for composing, that's my main reason, as I don't actually use all the advanced sound design capabilities.
Is it stable and would you say that the library is worth the upgrade?

I use K3 in Logic8, runs pretty stable.
K3 and mainly some instrument that come with it are very heavy on your CPU but I'dd say that some instruments from the K3 lib are worth it.
But you could also concider holding on to K2 and getting 3rd party libs that fill your needs ......

It 'feels' a bit slower and larger to load an instance, but the app is a lot better and seems more stable here. New features are worth it!

It's stable for me (I'm running ACID Pro 6 on Vista). The only issue I have is the documentation - the library is bigger but the library doc is smaller. But since you've already got K2, hang on to your doc files and you'll be OK.

    I'm happy with it.

I use it a lot in Logic 8 and don't have any crashes/instabilities anymore after adjusting my DFD settings and turning off Multiprocessor support.

    Hi

Could you post your DFD-settings? It could be very helpfull to hear from someone who has "made" it!

    Thanks in advance.

I've been using k3 for about a month now, so far it's been stable. I use it as a plugin within live 7 & cubase 4.

K3 keeps crashing randomly on my machine also. The editor is a v.handy tool but the (_edited_) folder it creates has crashed me out a few times when I've opened it up using the file browser within Kontakt.

Anyone else found random crashings with K3? I've searched the forums and it seems that a lot of NI users have found critical flaws. Not particularly reassuring after wacking 600 notes on Komplete 5.

K3 is rock solid here. My PC is a few years old (P4 3.0 GHz on Asus P4C800 Deluxe MoBo). No problems, but I'm not riding it as hard as I will when I have some more time...

    Cheers,
    Glider
