Harmonic Mixing?

Hi All,

I am very new to Traktor & have been looking around at various things, I believe you can do Harmonic Mixing which uses the "Key" that each track is set in by referring to the Camelot Wheel using a piece of software called MixedInKey,

Just wondering if such a wheel exists for Traktor & the Key's it sets?

Isn't the key notation of camelot and Traktor made that way so you won't need any kind of wheel at all?

 

Just a warning, key does not mean two song will mix together well.
Don't let that be your focus or basis of selection, think of it more as an aid.

 

By the way, if you can't find your keys, your too drunk to Djay....

 

key detection does not work well in Traktor imo
tested to be about 65% accurate

Mixed in Key does a much better job
you can also mod the TSI file in Traktor to display the MIK notation & not theirs to keep the MIK Camelot Wheel in use
just be sure to turn off key detection when analyzing new tracks in Traktor

 

I am sure I saw something that says that you have five options... for example, you are playing a track in 12M, for the next track you can stay in 12m, go to 12A, got 11m or 1m or, and this is where it gets a little bit wild ... 6M... Does this fit in with the whole musical theory of harmonic mixing?
