Has anyone with a lightning connector iPad got traktor dj working with z1

I have with the Lightning to 30 Pin adapter.

 

Is yours the official apple one?

Does it still let the ipad charge as it does with the older iPads

 

Not recognizing with lighting adapter

I plugged the Z1 into power and my iPad mini and opened traktor Dj. It does not allow to swap the sound output. Also the Z1 lights are off. Do I have to plug speakers in? That's the only thing not plugged in.

Just get the one piece 30pin to lightening adapter. Official Apple is £25 in UK.

That's the same one I have. I am going to test it speakers plugged in later.

 

You should not need to have the speakers connected.
Are you certain that you have the latest version of the app 1.2

Yes on both my iPad and iPhone 5

The steps I took for setup was:
Close traktor dj, plug in Z1 to power, the plug in the USB to the Z1 and iPad, lastly reopen traktor dj

And still the lights on the Z1 don't stay on and I can not swap the audio within traktor dj. The Z1 does work on my Macbook just fine.

 

Mine just woked out of the box. Plugged in the power then plugged the Z1 in to my iPad using the official cable and the official lightning to 30 pin adapter and it worked perfectly.

Was surprised that when connecting the Z1 you can't route the audio through the iPad. Would be nice to have that option.

 

you mean to use the headphone out of the iPad instead of the ones on the Z1?
what would be the use of that?

 

Like last night I just wanted to sit at my Dining room table and have a play with the controller and not do anything constructive. I just wanted to be able to play the sound through the iPad speaker.

No biggie, but I had to go upstairs and bring down my heavy dock and set it up on the table. Just something that I expected to work, that didn't.

 

what 30 pin adapter do you have? I am using the 1 piece one. The other is the dongle style with 0.2M of cable.

Also last night I test my Z1 with my Mac and it works great. Also I used my girlfriends Iphone 4S and it worked. So I am thinking it has something to with the adapter.

 

What's the model no. Of your adapter laxboy?

Apparently the 1st version of that adapter didn't transfer audio, only charged a device. Maybe you have the v1 and Kieran has v2.

If you both post model numbers it would confirm the issue

 

My model number is MD823ZM/A. It is the small single body one.

 

I'm using the official apple one piece one. Bit worried about it being leant on and being snapped off though.

I hope NI bring out a Lightning to USB cable soon!

I will have to check when I get home for you in about 2 hours. I only bought mine last week.

 

Model A1450 works for me. (Apple 30pin to lightning with 0,2m cord)

 

ok i figured it out. If you look at the specs for each one of the adapters. It should say that it supports analog and USB audio output. Sice the Z1 plugs into the ipad/iphone via usb it has to support it. Hope this helps anyone with future problems like mine
