    Hi

Ive recieved a Numark Mixtrack Pro today.

    I've encountered nothing but problems.

I'm trying to get the heaphones to work on traktor le 2 on a apple mac with all the latest updates but all I've succeeded in doing so far is either having the music come through on either the headphones or through the speakers.

I've literally done everything I can to get it running to no avail and followed the instructions to the letter.

Obviously I want to use it so can someone either tell me how or what settings to use.

I've got a feeling it's something to do with audio setup and output routing so can someone even send me their settings.

    Help greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
Iḿ just a windows guy but I got he same mixtrack. On windows I have to choose the mixrack as the audio device first and than assign channel 1 and 2 for master output and 3 and 4 for monitor.
Otherwise there is another audio device driver i can use asio4all it also support this function.
    Hope that helps :-/

    Hi

Thanks for the help but it didnt work. However i have found a solution which i will run through now. Mods please sticky as i feel this could be helpful to others (couldnt find the answer anywhere so this could help a few people)

Basically anyone running a mixtrack on a mac must firstly create a aggregated soundcard.

To this you must go into applications then utilities. Inside you will find AudioMIDI setup, click on this.

Then when the window pops open you will see a list on your left with line in, mixtrack etc. Click on the + sign at the bottom, this is where the magic begins.

Firstly you want to set built in output as the main so tick this and then also tick Mixtrack, this then has created a aggregated sound card.

A rough breakdown of this can be found at: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1215

Next you want to go to options in Traktor and select the aggregated soundcard and then go into input routing, next on the Output Monitor for left select 1. and for the right 2.

For Output Master select back right for the right and back left for the left.

You can now listen to headphones on the mixtrack for cueing whilst the track is playing.

This is just a rough outline as im in work sitting at a computer and trying to remember what i did a week ago. As i said id be greatful if the mods could sticky this at the top so people dont have to search all over the internet to no avail. Likewise if anyone needs any further help dont hessitate to ask!:D

    Numark Mixtrack pro headphones issue.

Okay, so I have a Numark Mixtrack Pro, and I am running it with traktor LE 2.

The mixer works fine, but I have spent over a week now trying to get the headphones to cue. I have been over so many different output settings, and changed the sound cards etc. but to no avail.

Obviously I want to be able to play one deck out loud while the other cues through my headphones, then when the cue button is pressed, the deck that was coming through my headphones then plays out loud into the mix.

I am only able to get sound either out through the speakers, or through the speakers as well as my headphones at the same time. The cue button does nothing.

I am using a MacBook Pro, Traktor LE 2, a Numark mixtrack pro, and I have my speakers connected through the back of the Mixtrack. On my settings, I have the Mixtrack selected as the audio device.

Under output routing, when the mixing mode is internal I have output monitor front left and right, then output master to back left and right. This gives me sound through both headphones and speakers at the same time.

If i select external mixing, and select each deck to front left and right, and then output preview to back left and right, i only get sound through the headphones.

It is incredibly frustrating, and I just want the bloody thing to do what i want it to. But as far as I have found I cannot find any way of the cue buttons working and the Mixtrack pro doing what i want it to!

Any help would be much appreciated, as as it stands I am unable to Mix properly.

    thanks.

Also, Frankienipples, I tried what you said about the aggregate sound card, but that just cause my Macbook to become the audio output. If you could talk me through what you did to get yours working properly that would be awesome. thanks
