Not sure if this is custom here, but it seems only polite to do so:

I am a new user of Kontakt and a new member to this forum and I want to take this oportunity to say hello to the other members. I've watched these threads extensively before chosing Kontakt (of course also trying the demo) and was delighted with the activity of the community as well as the openness with which problems could be and were discussed. In my opinion, an active and constructively critical community is very important to getting the best of a product.

So, I'm looking forward to taking part in the forum. The manual and Kontakt itself already convinced me there's plenty to try, experiment with and possibly do wrong, intentionally or not, so I hope you all won't mind a beginner's stupid question here now and then... :)

    welcome..

Kontakt has become central to my setup over the past few months. I migrated all my sampling CD's into it and have it working in all my comps at this point! good luck...

Thx... I've started to make some tracks with it now to explore it a bit and it works great (standalone and as a VST under Logic 5 on a PC). What I've yet to find out, though, is how to (and if it's possible) to route instruments from one Kontakt instance to different Logic busses and in different levels, so I can use Logic's effects on them. Also I'm wondering whether it's better to use seperate instances of Kontakt or use one with different instruments, performance-wise?
