Help! Amazon sent me the "Crossgrade" box instead

    Help!

    I recently bought from Amazon a KOMPLETE 10 box (not the Ultimate) however, they sent me instead a "crossgrade" version, as indicated by the sticker on the Komplete 10 box.

    Unfortunately, the delivery address I indicated was for my freight forwarder based in the US, who then sent my package here in Manila. That means, sending back this box would be my last resort, as Amazon has refused to pay for the shipping fees for returning the item back to the US.

    I already contacted Amazon's seller directly, as well as NI's customer service. How's NI's response rate so far? It's beginning to make me anxious mainly because of the fear that my money would just go to waste. I'd like to know also what my possible option are.

    I would also contact the third-party seller, explain that it has sent you the wrong product (include your photos) and ask it to obtain a valid Komplete 10 Serial number from NI.

    And let Amazon know clearly that its seller is not providing the advertised products.

    thanks fo your reply.

    If I am able to contact N.I. directly, would it be likely that they'd simply give me a valid serial number, just to save me from the hassle of sending the whole box back to the US?

    Also, would that serial work with the DVDs I have in hand now, despite the sticker saying it's "Crossgrade"?

    In that case contact Amazon explaining what the seller has said and ask Amazon to get a valid Serial Number from NI.
    NI have done that in the past. And, as far as I know, the disks are exactly the same. it is the serial number that determines what works. As solger said it is better to phone them if you can ( http://www.native-instruments.com/en/company/contact-ni/ ) and it would be worth mentioning Amazon's responses to you.

    As DarkStar already mentioned, the content of the installer DVDs is the same.

    The serial number is the important part here and defines if it's a full price version or discounted crossgrade/upgrade/update version (which requires a corresponding base product in order to be able to use it).
