Help! Does Traktor Pro work OK through a 13" Macbook:

Hi good people,

I promise you I’m not being over lazy….Just would love some feedback from somebody who knows a lot more than me about this stuff and I'm not at my desk all day, and need to shift on this one:

I have an IMac at home and I run Scratch Pro through it but, it’s a pain taking it to parties etc (for those few times a year)!

I need a laptop which is more portable and as it’s payday today, the same day Apple has a 1 day sale on. I am itching to buy myself a Macbook Pro (I know there are better prodects out there but I just want a mac)

Whilst I know the larger sizes of Macbook would be better for lots of reasons, they are much more expensive so I wondered wether I could get away with buying the 13” Macbook and still run Traktor safely through it? The smaller size is a bit more use to me when travelleing through work anyway.

not following how ur getting a sale price here... check amazon.co.uk.. but in any case

this is a solid, incredibly stable, little beast.. i have the exact model.. never had a seconds bother.. well only having 2 usb ports can be a bit of a drag.. apart from that for me its perfect.. if ur running 4 decks which im not, u may have very little room to browse but i dont see this as an issue if you know your own collection pretty well.. if your running 2 decks you will still be able to see 15 to 20 tracks on screen depending on your view settings.. get it

Just do it, it's absolutely perfect for Traktor. The only slight downer to having a smaller screen is that in 4 deck mode, you can't see all 4 decks with their advanced panel open - you have to close the advanced panel on one or the other (as you can't close the browser entirely for some daft reason). Not a big deal at all though.

 

Not true, the 13" models are still C2D.

 

I have just bought the same model and have also just bought Traktor and installed it last night. Looks fine on the screen.

I also have a few friends that use the 13" MBP and run Traktor no problem.

 

It will work great.

 

Cheers for your support guys, certainly helped me to go for it and it am now the proud owner (and skint right before Xmas)!

Now I'm just searching to find info on de-registering Traktor from an old Laptop so I can load onto the new one whilt trying to work out if I want to Sync my Itunes or run them seperately. I think I'll be fine with the size though, I do run 4 decks but it should be easy to search through the music as long as I remain organised...... something I have promised myself I will be.

You don't have to unregister your license, it will be automaticly removed when you install more than 2 versions - the "oldest" will be removed from your NI account.
