I cannot find any help area to support a ticket.

    So frustratging!

I tried reinstalling Komplete Kontrol/Drivers but nothing works.

    Win 10, latest version, etc.

    Lets get some facts first

What DAW are you using? what exactly do you mean Windows for transport? When you switch on your keyboards they show up in Device Manager?
I assume the keyboards are visible/available in Komplete Kontrol?

I was so frustrated I ended up doing a clean reinstall of Windows, and it does work now.

I believe it has something to do with I have a lot of MIDI devices, I have a Korg Nanokontrol2, Beatstep Pro, Various Behringer, Push 2 and more... I also have 3 VR headsets so it sets up lots of soundcards for that.

So I installed KOMPLETE KONTROL, ABLETON and CUBASE first and it works. I'll update as I install aall my other controllers if it breaks it.

But there DEFINITELY is some major issue with having many midi devices that needs to be resolved in Windows.

Also why is there no way to contact NI customer support except for orders/licenses? Where do you go for things like this? Otherwise their developers cannot fix the bugs.

Well if it is a bug and you can replicate it and provide steps that can be used to test and fix the issue then you can report it on the forums here or in the Beta area (need to be accepted in there tho). Otherwise if it is an issue with your system and the possible overload of devices you may have, it is more a system issue not a bug. Bugs are proven and replicable problems.

First suggestion I would have made would be to disconnect all the stuff you have hanging off your system and just focus on the issue at hand. Reinstallation of the entire system I would suggest as the absolute last resort. It could easily have been a corrupt driver, conflict with another device, service that wasn't running... problem is now tho if it happens again on you the only solution you have is to reformat again as you don't know what the possible cause would have been. I mean, you kind of only waited a few hours before jumping from step 1 of troubleshooting to the complete end of the list.

Probably next time, detail your setup a bit more so others can get an idea of what you have... 3 x VR headsets????

Wise words JersterMgee and yes a Windows rebuild can be a daunting task but sometimes an evil necessity. One option you could consider is using different logins for games and music? not surprising Windows got its knickers in a twist with all those toys plugged in - good luck

Probably wouldn't make much difference since the drivers would still be installed for all accounts and all the hardware is still connected. Ive scaled back on the number of connected hardware devices over the years myself to save these kind of issues occuring. In Win7 and XP days it was very touchy around MIDI devices especially since there was a limited number of MIDI device slots in the windows registry to use (I think it was 10) but the problem is when connecting and disconnecting to different USB ports it would generate a new device and often take up multiple slots for a single device. Had to label ports and cables carefully or risk having to edit the registry often.

not the case now but the more gear you have in your setup, the more potential for issues and the more you need to learn efficient methods to troubleshoot. I use to format my system every 12 months to keep it going but Win10 has been a saviour without a format in 3 years for me and still ticking along perfectly.

and you use the same setup and have the same high number of usb devices attached? Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling komplete kontrol? Is the issue your DAW port is missing? What keyboard do you have? Are the other keyboard ports showing, what is your OS…. Etc….
