when i have kore player loaded as vst in cubase 4 i get short audio drop outs now and than. (i don't know if its actually an audio drop out, because the audio doesn't stop after this glitch but then keeps running). It also makes cpu meter spike to 100%.

I would like to help.. but you need to give more info... what OS? 32 or 64 bit? Type of sound card? What patch are you loading in Kore? Which engine is it using? What is your latency set to? Any other plug ins in the heart project? Your question is way too vague for anyone to help you

    Windows 7 64bit.
    i7-920, asus p6t, 6gb ram.
    ("optimized" for audio)

    Cubase 4 32bit.

With every sound in KORE, I tried a blank project just with KORE and it still happens. After I Restart Cubase and try any other VSTi, works OK, but as soon as i load KORE and even use another vsti the audio begins to glitch.
Basically KORE affects the whole Cubase, not just itself.

    Welcome =)

    1) Turn off hyperthreading in your BIOS. NI apps don't like hyperthreading cores; they'll read a HT core as two cores running at half the speed, which puts you at or below the minimum specs.
    2) Follow the advice in the first pages of the Reaktor thread you posted in:

Hyperthreading is Disabled in BIOS as well as other CPU 'enhancements',
Active CPU cores are set to "ALL", maybe that is causing the problem?
I tried both audio priority 'Normal' and 'Boost' in cubase's VST Audio System Audio Priority.
Priroty doesn't jump from 'High' to "Normal" in Windows Task Manager like others experienced.

Try turning off DEP (data execution prevention) for Kore and any other NI apps you have. What happens now?

I selected "Turn on DEP for all programs.. except..:" and I selected KORE's .exe, but it would let me choose .dll plugin.

the audio pops/clocks is still happening.
at first i selected a drum patch it seemed ok, but than i chose a synth patch and it started audio popping/clicking started after that

can it be related to graphics card?

can't believe I missed this suggestion, Disabled "Multiprocessing" in Cubase, and looks like there are no glitches anymore, this also worked for Reaktor too. Thank You all for the Help.

one more question: does this mean that cubase and plugins in it will only use single core if "multiprocessing" is disabled?
