    Hi!

I just upgraded from MkI to MkII. At first I loved the new pads. They trigger more easily, especially over the whole area of the pad.

However I started noticing a lot of double triggering on my part. And I have a really hard time learning a playing style that keeps me from doing this. When I record the notes it looks like the image.

What am I doing wrong? I seem to be consistent in length when playing. But it looks as if I actually bounce or something on the way down. I have a short hit, with a short intervall and then the body of the hit after that. But not every time.

I also have a hard time in finding a pattern to when I do this. Mostly it happens when I start playing 3 - 4 pads at the same time and by then my brain is so focused on playing that I can't analyze what I do. And by the way that's why the double hits are annoying as they throw me off balance a lot.

If I'm doing it serious finger drummers must have conquered and won over it, am I right?

    Best wishes / Mattias

Ps . Unless my machine is broken?

Go to preferences under hardware and use soft 1-3. Also try turning down the sensitivity.

I've actuelly tried that a lot. At the moment I'm playing a lot on fixed velocity. And the problem is of course much more audible then as the second "hit" is as loud as the first.

    Hey,

So I just got Mikro and I have the exactly same issue. It's most definitely a practice thing cuz the Maschine pads, esp MKII, are the most sensitive on the market and need to be played a certain way. Im getting better at avoiding the doubles and in fact, on multi velocity layered kits, you can actually use this to do flams and drags and they sound really good and very natural. Also, like you mentioned, it's more of a problem when using fixed velocity. One thing to noted is, quantizing fixes the doubles.
