I am thinking buying numark mixtrack pro but the numark guys told me that it's difficult to work it with traktor pro, because that comes without audio driver.
I already read the other threads about it, but still have some doubts:
    - Anybody has this controller working good with traktor pro?
    - Besides the audio interface what are the differences between mixtrack pro and mixtrack?
    - Are jogwheels sensitive in both versions?

I have an external audio interface (focusrite saphire LE) but i was thinking buying mixtrack pro for easy transport and because i think jogwheels have more functions aren't they?

    Cheers

I was wondering the same thing, I am completely new to DJing and mixing and I was told that starting with Mixtrack Pro would be a good place to start. I've used VDJ since I started messing around, but I think when I finally get my Mixtrack Pro , I want to switch to Traktor Pro because I've heard it an all around better program.

Will I have issues with the controller and Traktor Pro? Or will it work just as well?

Numark guys told me that the audio driver problem could be solved downloading Numark Omni audio drivers. The mapping should be made with the file already talked in this forum (i think the Numark Mixtrack file).
Still wait for someone with this problem solved.

omni drivers wont help!...i have got the mixtrack pro and i did have issues with getting it to work because its such a new product theres not alot of support but it is by far the best you'll get for the money!

i have managed to make my own tsi for the uni and works fine once you get used to the buttons etc which shouldnt be a problem for experianced djs.

all in good time the support with be there. i am happy to share my tsi file if anyone wants to have a go.

    Hey!

In 2 days I'll get my Mixtrack Pro! It would be great, If you could send me the .tsi file, you made for traktor pro. And one more question? Is the mixtrack pro onboard audio interface recognized by the traktor? I mean, can I use cueing / prelistening on headphones and stuff?

My email is quriouss at gmail dot com !

    Thanks for the help!

at the moment i am having issue's with the cueing & routing the audio correctly to the headphones with traktor. i cant seem to understand why traktor is not seeing the device as 4outputs instead of 2. it might just be me doing something stupid i dont know. but ill soon get down to it. i will be visiting the shop i purchased from to see if they can help me out at all. but in the mean time...have fun with the .tsi

let me know if its any easier for you..or if you have figured it out.

apart from that, im having no issues.

It's right in the manual, you must use asio4all on Windows.

asio4all is for devices without asio drivers from the manufactor!

Not necessarily, Numark writes the drivers. However with Core Audio on OSX you can aggregate sound devices.

Windows does not allow you to do that, so ASIO4ALL gets around that limitation for you.

Thanks for the tsi file for the mixtrack pro. But I would like to use the usual mapping like for the mixtrack (not pro) AND have the hotcues. Because I can't map them by myself :(

    hope you can help me
    -----------------------------------
just google the ASIO4ALL driver and you'll find it. It runs with Win 7.

I have just bought a Mixtrack Pro and after being an avid traktor fan after sampling the Virtual Dj software supplied I decided to get this set up with Traktor pro!

Everything is working as it should but you will need the newest version of Traktor Pro in order to get the mapping right. I am using version 1.2.7 and i selected the mapping for mixtrack. I dare say in the future there will be another update with the mixtrack pro settings but for now they work a treat!

    HOWEVER......

The unit doesn't look as pretty as the only buttons that light up are the buttons that are active, which is a little annoying especially if you are in a dark environment!

Overall I am very happy with the unit and with its integration with Traktor Pro although another update correcting the minor errors would be lovely! :D

For all those still having problems I have uploaded the official Numark pdf on how to set up your Mixtrack Pro with Traktor on my website and you can download it by right clicking the link below:

Hi guys, got my Mixtrack Pro today and have had nothing but trouble trying to get it working with Traktor!

Ive updated to Traktor 1.2.7 and I eventually got it mapped. But there is no sound being produced, can anyone help me here?

The speakers im using are just 2.1 speakers which connect to my laptop through the headphone jack. The headphones im using are obviously plugged in the headphone jack on the Mixtrack.

Can anyone please help? This is driving me mad!

have you been onto the Numark website? there is a pdf. file on how to instal ASIO driver to get it working. download my own version of the tsi. file and use that (which i have already uploaded on this post).
    ---
yep. might be for the keyboard but you should be still following the same functions as the video.

    add in...
    cue/loops...
    select/set+store...
    (click preferred deck)
(select hotcue value) eg - hotcue 1/2/3/4...
    click learn...
    Press desired button...
    de-click hotcue...

finish...all should work fine...just double check on everything. if this doesnt work, i have no idea..sorry!

    @ Chana22

Hey thanks for the reply, Im following the pdf file now off the Numark Website on how to map it with Traktor.

    When I reach step 3, part 2:

"Next, click Settings. In the window that opens, click the selection button next to USB Audio Device to highlight. This is the MIXTRACK PRO. Once selected, close this window"

When I click settings, a window doesn't open like the one shown. Is there a way to manually do this?

    Thanks for the help!

you just need to highlight the 'usb audio device' in the ASIO menu n then close the box. after you've done this you may need to restart your computer to allow the changes to happen. what i have also noticed is that in your first post you mentioned that u have standard 2.1 speakers connected to your headphone jack on the laptop. this is wrong. because the MixTrack Pro has a built in sound card, it will override the sound card built into the laptop. so you now need to connect your mixtrack pro up-to an amp of some sort to produce sound. the ASIO set-up is to get your headphone cue buttons working.
