    Hey diego,

I had the same problems, my omni worked perfectly as a soundcard and as a midi device in Mixmeister also. However Traktor 3 LE would'nt detect the omni as a midi controller.
Very strange as the omni was built specifically for traktor...
I followed what luishinos and djdoci did.
First i created a new administrator account on my laptop (im running vista 32 bit).
    2) Rebooted
    3) Installed drivers off disc
    4) Rebooted
    5) Installed Traktor 3 LE off disc

Finally then it worked. I dont know why it needed a new administrator account? but its a big pain in the ass and something either Numark or NI needs to address.

You will know if it is going to work or not because when you load traktor, just after the splash screen some of the LED's on the Omni will light up

    Hope this helps

    Hey Nathan,

Did you follow these steps to get you Omni to work? When installing the drivers, the omni is required to be plugged in and then unplugged n plugged in again in order for them to install.

So im just wondering how u got around that?....
    ---
    Just one more thing

make sure you un-install all the drivers and traktor software, and then reboot before you create the new admin account

    ?

    Hey guys,

I have an other problem with my Omni Control...
I'm using my laptop (T7400 2,16 ghz, 2.5 gb ram, Win xp)
and traktor le with omni control, and it doesnt seem
to work properly. When analysing songs in the background
(=loading it to one of the decks)
the one thats being played out starts to
crack for about ten seconds. CPU usage is
at about 30%-40% when it cracks.
Same happens sometimes when I play with effect buttons/knobs.
Tried to look for updates but NI site doesnt offer any when I sign on. I think I have the latest version of traktor le attached to my omni control...
Been searching on the forum, but could not find the answer.
    Wifi is off.
Tried Traktor Pro demo, it has the same glitch.
Tried to alter ASIO settings, problem still not
    solved...
When I select Numark Omni control as audio device
(with 2 outs) instead of Numark Omni control ASIO,
It works fine, but who the hell can mix tracks with
    2 ouputs... :)
There must be a simple solution, but
I just couldnt find it yet.:S
    Pls help me out!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey Gabaa,
I have experienced that problem before. when i had the output audio device set to i think it was just omni control rather than the asio (for when i wasnt using headphones) and because it was actually the hardware of the omni control doing all the work, it was fine.
But when i switched over to the asio output to use headphones, i had your problem for a little while. I think it is due to our laptops. although cpu was only on 30%-40%, the asio driver is primarily software based and so relies alot more on the laptop rather than the omni control.
I just kept going and eventually once all the tracks are pre loaded for me (from the itunes import) it was fine. After the initial crackle/stutter when fiddling with effects i found that it did no re-occur

    Hope this helps

    i know the answer

the total control and omni control have diferent midi map files even when they look the same and work the same in tractor 3 le. if you were using a total control you need to remove all native instrument folders and files. not just uninstalling them. after uninstall go to the explorer, open programs, look for native instruments and delete it. on my documents delete the tractor file. delete all icons. restart the comp and then install omnicontrol drivers and tracktor (if you have a beatport sync uninstall it also). and that is it. the clue is to remove all files asociated with native instruments and traktor. after you have your omni control working you can iunstall the totoal control (just remana the folders for traktos and nativa instruments on the program files and un my documents,)
    good look.

    Hey mate,
Many thanks for the advice, will try it.
Btw I've been recently messing with playlists of songs wich have been played out many times before, turned off some less necessary things in the setup (including loanding tracks to deck with background analysis), and traktor pro demo works fine this way... Hopefully this will lead to success with T3 LE... There are less things to alter in LE... :)
    Thanks again!

    No worries buddy
Yea your on the right track, your gonna want your laptop to be doing the least processing/analyzing as possible. So yea i would try that on traktor 3

    Hi!
I've just bought a stealth-control.. so i assume that would be sort of like an omni mapping-whise.

But i can't even seem to be able to install the driver. On the CD i just open the setup, plug my stealth in when it says i should do that... But nothing happens and the setup times out.

    Any clues ? :S

You should be fine to re-install it as your product key/cd key is unique. Just un-install everything. then install again and register the program again through the service centre
    should be fine

    @ Duncan1211:
When i installed it in that order, it worked for me (with a little help from my brother that made the trial version go away by some kind of update i thought).
I heard you guys say something about a new admin account... I can only use my OmniC (traktor LE) at the admin account. But i think that has something to do with rights.
But i never made a new admin, don't think thats needed.

And about that plug in controller when it ask for it during installation, no way around, gotta plug in then! But just simply unplug it when driver installation is done.

*If you ask me... Way to mutch trouble for this product, it should be so easy... Thats what numark says.. B*ll sh*t when they don't wanna help.

I'm enjoying my omni control these days...
One more question.. How can i record my dj set in Traktor LE?

I totally agree, what should have been a simple plug and play operation turned into a nightmare. tsk tsk Numark and NI for that matter.

I'm fairly sure that there is no in-built function to record sets in Traktor le itself, you may be able to use a second program to record the output channel. I'm not sure of any off the top of my head though.

As for me, i would much prefer Virtual DJ over Traktor 3 LE. There is so many more features, and its alot easier to get your hands on the full version for next to nothing ;) it also has in-build recording direct to file in either mp3 or wav format. The only thing is to try and get the omni control to work as seamlessly as it does with Traktor.... My next challenge lol

    hope this helps

    @ duncan,

Thanks for your tips! It worked! I became very frustrated and luckily I found the forum!

Is there a possibility to transfer to program to another administrator, the one i always use? Otherwise i have tot switch between administrators all the time.

OK I know this is a bit of a dead horse, but I've yet to read anyone address my specific problems with the OMNI control. All of the solutions seem to be either a) for a PC, or b) for Traktor LE.

I am running Traktor 3.4 on a macbook pro 10.5.8. I am having the same issues (no LEDs, getting sound card recognition but no MIDI control). I don't know if anyone else has this issue but when I try to sound my output controls, it says the OMNI only has 2 (when in fact it should have 4), making monitoring impossible.

I've tried the various fixes mentioned (uninstalling Traktor, installing drivers, reinstallying Traktor) that seemed relevant to me but still nothing. I guess those fixes only work for Traktor LE... Can anyone please speak to my situation? I'm beginning to feel like I'm the last person still dealing with these problems, but can't find a solution, and the lack of support from Numark is utterly preposterous.

Traktor 3 LE that comes with the OMNI control is designed and mapped especially for the OMNI control. You can't just expect to be able to install another version of Traktor and have it work right away just because it was compatible with LE.

I'm not entirely sure of the details on how to get other versions of Traktor to work with the OMNI but i do know that the mappings and contol assignment are somewhere in either a My Documents folder or within the installation directory of LE. You should try copying these files, then install Traktor 3.4 and paste these files into the approrpriate place so that Traktor 3.4 can use them. This should then assign all the correct controls to the OMNI and imporve functioning as a soundcard.

Man, after so much searching through forums, and two attempts at contacting Numark, it ended up being an incredibly simple solution. I went to numark's support page for the OMNI
    http://www.numark.com/contentmgr/showdetails.php/id/204994/tt/5
and I downloaded their mapping (.tks) file. Started up traktor, loaded that file in the preferences, and voila, everything worked wonderfully.

If you can stick it out, and get past the bulls*** the OMNI is pretty damn awesome.

Traktor 3.4 comes with tks files to setup your midi controller.
I've attached it for you, hope this helps.

    YATTA! \ /

    That's just what I needed!

    Thank you so much! :D

I practically scoured the entire internet searching for this file!

For whatever reason, the one provided by Numark didn't work 100%... Everything seemed fine, except the cue channel buttons had no response at all!

    But this file works 100%!

    Awesome :D

Hi, please check your preferences, especially the routing section. you might change the routing for monitor to another channel. Also ensure that you are running the asio drivers.
load the tks file attached two posts above and try it again!
