Im still learning my way around the new S2 Controller and I have managed to set up my speakers etc properly now, however there is one minor issue that I need some help with (im sure it's nothing major). I am used to using a 'Vestax Spin' rather than actual decks...
There is a lot of words so I can try and explain the issue to you guys as best I can!

Basically, whenever I am playing a track out for the audience to hear, the same track is playing through my headphones CONSTANTLY.

For instance, if I want Deck-A to play out to the audience, its 'volume slider' (forgive me for my terrible naming skills) is at the top, and Deck-B's slider is at the bottom. I now want Deck B to play through my headphones, so I turn the CUE button on for Deck B...however Deck A is still playing through my headphones (so effectively I can hear both tracks at the same time through my headphones, even though Deck B is the only CUE button that is flashing). If I turn off both CUE buttons (so neither are lit up/flashing), I am still able to hear Deck-A through my headphones (which is also playing the track for the audience)

Now, I have tried messing around with the PHASER to overcome this problem.

If it is in the middle, I have the problem described above (although on my previous controller, i was able to leave the phaser in the middle 24/7 - i literally never use the phaser). However, if Deck-A is playing for the audience, and i slide the phaser to the right/Deck B, the audience is unable to hear the music AND it is also not coming through my headphones. If I pre either CUE button now, I am able to swap between Deck-A and Deck-B, but ofcourse I am still not sending music to the speakers!

If the phaser is in the middle, the audience can hear Deck-A from the speakers, and I can hear it through my headphones (the CUE button makes no difference). If I then press the CUE button for Deck-B (remembering Deck-A is still playing through my headphones despite the fact Deck-A's CUE button is off), I can hear it from my headphones as well as Deck-A (effectively they are playing over each other).

Someone please tell me that I am able to leave the PHASER in the middle during my mixes (which I usually do, and I know most people with actual decks do this too)...and sort out this headphone issue.

I want to be able to press the CUE button to hear that specific Deck, and if I turn both of them on I want to be able to hear them both in my headphones.
I don't want to always hear the 'OUTGOING' Deck through my headphones, as it is very off putting !

Perhaps this can be corrected in my Traktor Settings ?

Thanks for any help that can be given !

On the front of your S2 there is a cue volume knob, a cue mix knob and a mic volume knob. Turn the cue mix knob all the way to the left to get rid of the main output. This should do the trick for you...

Edit: Wait the S2 isn't the exact same as the S4 so you don't have a mic volume knob, but you do have the other two. Turn the cue mix knob to the left and you should only hear the cue output.
