    Hi All,

Apologies in advance if im doing something really simple wrong but im a bit confused since switching to control vinyl mk2.

Previously i had two cdj 350's so i used traktor pro 2 along with the midi control and i like to play acapellas so for example i would click sync on deck a (instrumental) and track b (acapella) cue it up and then let go and the beats and vocal would be in sync straight away. This was without snap or quantize switched on.

Now i have switched to 2.5 and using the control vinyl mk2 so i have the same situation deck a instrumental and deck b acapella. I have tried cueing up in both absolute and relative mode but when i let go the beat grids will never be in sync i have to manually move them to be in sync. I have tried this with snap, quantize, temposync, beatsync and different combinations of this but it will never seem to snap to the grid unless i click the play button using the mouse.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated because its driving me nuts

Also using the control vinyl theres lots of fluctuation and keep the two in sync for very long is really difficult.

I have dj'ed for about 10 years using vinyl and cdjs and can beatmatch perfectly well manually but using these control vinyl is really frustrating! so any advice on this would also be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Rich

Yeh all tracks have been beat grid, using a previous version?
    Could this cause an issue?
    Cheers

can you post a video or a few screenshots? right now it's hard to imagine what exactly is going on... (note that i'm using sync on timecode vinyls too, so generally, i know what we're talking about here ;) )

Do post a video if you can. By the way, are your tracks' BPM locked?

    having the same issue

I'm having the same issue as RichieW2k, only i'm trying to sync Traktor 2.5 w Ableton. Maintaining a sync'd beat with the control vinyl is impossible due to the natural ebb and flow of the record playback. It causes subtle fluctuations in the tempo which allow the track to drift from the master tick ever so slightly. Forget about Beatjump - the whole track gets thrown off the master click. This issue is causing the midi clock to drift as well, bringing Ableton out of sync.

I'm on the verge of returning the software because of this... seems like a crucial oversight.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im glad someone having the same problems

Have been major busy in work this week but will get a video up over the weekend to show whats happening!

@gumbomasta it really is annoying isnt it, makes mixing ridiculously hard even without sync because the fluctuation is so bad, ive tried changing the skate control and arm weight on the turntables but still no joy

    Hopefully someone can help
