Ok, I have an Audio4DJ that came with Traktor LE. I'm currently using it with Virtual DJ, but now i want to use it with Traktor Scratch Duo 2. After looking around in the NI Shop, I couldn't find a Traktor Scratch Duo Download.

Do I upgrade Traktor LE to Duo 2 then upgrade again to Traktor Scratch Duo 2? Or do i have to really get the Traktor Scratch Pro 2 Certified Upgrade kit? Need help ASAP since the download versions are online already... Thanks in advance!

You have to get the Scratch certified upgrade or buy the whole set

You cannot buy the software alone.
You need to buy the upgrade kit for Audio 4 owners.

i know it's a different turn of the topic, but didn't want to add an additional thread.

I just downloaded the upgrade for my TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO, but I am wondering if there's gonna be new generation control vinyls and cd's? Will they be necesarry to work with SCRATCH PRO 2?

    Thanks in advance!

Actually it is always better to start a new thread for a different topic. It keeps things neat and tidy that way and makes it easier for guys looking for the same info to find it.

Anyway to answer your question your current control disks will work just fine. I doubt NI would allow a software only upgrade if you needed new disks anyway.

Except that no-one knows that CZi is an abbreviation for Count Zero so they would get the joke.

    Well they do now. :)

Thanks for your reply. Point taken :)
Even if the old timecode works, I was planning to order new vinyls and cd's so I am still wondering if I should wait for something new on April 1st or order today?

I think the point is that there are no 'new' timecode disks. All the new packages will come with the same timecode you have now. Whether you order now or after the 1st you will still get the same thing and it will be the same as you have now. If you old disks are worn and you need new ones then go for it. There will be nothing special about the new disks though.

The scratch upgrade (which is a little more dosh for LE owners) comes with TC disks.

As far as I am aware.

Owners of TSP1 can get a software only upgrade to TSP2 which is what weedska did. He is asking about 'new generation' timecode disks. There aren't any which is my point.

Oh Right. A perfect example of why hijacking an existing thread instead of starting a new one is a bad idea. It just gets confusing for everyone.

Sorry once again for hijacking the topic... never again! Thanks for the clarification! The thing was that I purchased a used TSP with heavily worn vinyls and no CDs... It was a good deal and with TSP2 upgrade its even a better deal! I managed to burn the CDs myself and play with them, but I want to have the full package so going for shopping right now :D
