Help with analyzing stems

Hey guys,


I just purchased a traktor s8 about a few months ago, I'm just a beginner, but I had a concern regarding stem files.

I purchase my stem files off of beatport, and when I downloand them and export them to iTunes, it is saved as an m4a file.

I'm not sure if this is the issue or not, but when I load them from iTunes into traktor scratch pro, it will not load the stem file.

It says that stem files must be analyzed, but when I analyze them, it still doesn't work.


Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

 

After analysing the Stem track is added to a Stems folder, just like remix sets are in their own folder.
Load the track from that folder located either in the playlist shortcuts or the browser tree.

Im trying to analyze the track from the stems folder. It just seems as though even when I try to analyze the track, then play it, it doesn't recognize that the track was analyzed.

Again, im right clicking the track, selecting analyze, then selecting bpm, etc...then hitting ok.

note that I exported the quicktime file to iTunes.

I imported a STEM, bought on beatport, when I want to load it in a deck, a message tells me that I should analyze the STEM first.
When I click analyze, I don't see the usual progress bar on the bottom, it just shows ready. If I then want to load the STEM again into a deck, I get the same error as before. Therefore I think the problem is that Traktor is not analyzing my STEMs. Any help on this please?

I have currently the same problem with some stems on macOS and the last Traktor release... Analysis simply does nothing. (But only some files, not all...) The problem does not occur on Windows in my case. I created a ticket at Native Instruments, I think this is a bug in Traktor...

--> Little Update: I have the problem only with 2.11.1 on MacOS, not on Windows. Did you try 2.11.0? This works for me.

 

Oh, is this the reason?
I can play all Native Instruments' free stems in Traktor on my MacBook, but with two selfmade testfiles with StemCreator then Traktor says that stem files must be analyzed, but analyzing them makes no difference, it still doesn't work.

Just downgraded to Traktor 2.11.0 and my two selfmade testfiles do work!
Got one NI-D2, when native instruments fixes this on Mac a second one might come.

 

Ive been using stems since they came out and still love them

I have just bought a new track and I think it got corrupted in my collection as when I right click analyse it doesnt show the status bar build up while analysing and seems to analyse in a millisecond

I try and load the track and it says it still needs analysing, ive tried deleting it including transients and re downloading but traktor wont let me analyse it

Ive ttried an older version of traktor and it loads fine, and same on my old windows machine.

Any ideas how I can fool traktor in to analysing it? Is there a file within finder I need to delete maybe?

 

I'm using this version of Traktor (2.11.3 R17) and all works fine.

 

I sent NI a copy of the track and they said I have found a bug in latest vers of traktor

They have no idea wheb it will be fixed which is frustrating

I have bought 7 STEM tracks at beatport.com. But 3 of 7 I cannot load into the decks because my traktor version 2.11.3 R17 gave me always the error that I have to analyze it before. It is very strange the rest I can play normal and I have stems, but only these 3 Stems I can analyze it again and again but nothing happend. Also stange is, that 2 STEM I can play but not all information like name of the track, artist, remixer, label I can see in the player, only a number_stem.mp4. Has anybody an idea? Is this a bug in version 2.11.3 R17 or maybe STEM from beatport.com is corrupt?

ive had it with stems from traxsource too

I own about 300+ stems and only had the problem since the latest traktor build

 

Oh bad. I have bought two new F1 controller arrived last week and a Z2 in January 18. Updated my traktor to latest release last friday and now this version has a bug? Bad.

Just an update, I have installed the previous versions on my macbook 2.10.3 and 2.11.0 23,but also in this versions not all stems, I can use normal. Two of them are not possible to play after analyzing. Others with not full information.

 

Just bought the new nick curly stems release, same issue again

 

For info I contacted NI who do not know if tje bug is in TP3

Cannot believe they have not tested for it

Lack of support seems worst than ever

I have sent some sample stem tracks over a wk ago that do not analyse on latest TP2 and not had a response

They give zero f@cks

 

I have the same problem. I bought today 9 stem fils and one cannot load.

 

For info the problem reamins with traktor pro 3 for now too
