I'm trying to work on programming an instrument in a certain way and am having some hang ups.

for instance, I would like a specific group of samples to only sound when i specific key is being pressed in.

example: press D2 sample sounds as normal, but press hold c2 and then press D2 and a different sample plays.

so far, i have the normal samples in a group, and the different samples in another group, for which I have the start options set to start on key between C2-C2. Now this works the first time i play it, but anytime after i hit c2 and then hit D2 the normal, and the different samples play.

    any advice?

    and not

    (Using Kontakt-2&3)
Group Starts 'on key' if key is between 'x' and 'y' 'and not'

to the right of the 'if key is between x and y', there should be another menu with and / or/ and not

If I were setting up the scenario you suggest above:
I would use C to turn group2 on, and C# to turn group2 off

then using the 'and not' you can set them up to alternate between the two

and make sure the group start options are accounted for on both groups.

I use this sort of switching alot.
